The 88th Academy Awards was certainly a night to remember. Chris Rock kicked off the night with a monologue about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, and Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his Oscar! The actor took home the Lead Actor Oscar for his role in the movie "The Revenant," and had a moving acceptance speech about the dangers of climate change.

Of course, Leo also had his ever ongoing special encounter with Kate Winselt on the red carpet, which never disappoints. They both looked stunning, but they weren't the only ones we were impressed with on the Oscars 2016 red carpet. Our favorite two looks of the night came from Sofia Vergara and Dorith Mous, who both wore elegant gowns that had us dreaming of prom. Sofia wore a beautiful navy blue gown on the Oscars red carpet that's not only so perfect for a black tie event like the Oscars, but is so prom reminiscent. The deep sweetheart neckline and ruched waist accentuated the actress' curves perfectly. The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards were certainly a site to be seen for the red carpet, with Miley Cyrus as the host this year. The musician wore some of the craziest and totally fun outfits that we've ever seen her wear, and it seems like the celebrities knew what they would be in for with Miley, following suit with some pretty unique outfits themselves. So, there were so many outfits that were off the charts that you could only wear to an event like the VMAs. There were a few celebrities, though, like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez who kept it totally classy, as usual, and we're totally loving their looks for other formal events like Homecoming and Prom.

While we loved Tay Swift's custom herringbone two piece jumpsuit, we're especially obsessed with her BFF's look, Selena Gomez. Why? Because she work a very classic long sleeve black gown. During an event where most lady celebs were testing limits concerning how much skin they could show, Selena kept it totally classy.

Our favorite part about Selena's 2015 VMAs look, though, is that it's a look that you can easily take a cue from for your own formal events! The 2015 Teen Choice Awards took the red... ahem ... blue carpet by storm with the latest and greatest in 2015 fashion, and we're loving all of the celebrity looks! The lady celebs rocked everything from jumpsuits to two piece cocktail dresses to sexy lace numbers. They certainly know how to rock the trends, and we're not complaining because so many of the Teen Choice Awards outfit choices had homecoming outfit written all over them! Or, maybe we're just a little excited for the Homecoming 2015 season to finally be here... Either way, there are three looks that we are especially obsessing over because they are so easy to rock off the red carpet, too! Check them out below.

Vanessa Ray at the Teen Choice Awards

Pretty Little Liars actress Vanessa Ray looked so glam in a so on-trend crop top and flirty skater skirt (she's on the left side in the video above). The textured skirt with a more simple fabric top make for a perfect pair in this look.

For a similarly styled look, featuring a sweetheart neckline top with thin shoulder straps and a skater skirt, go with La Femme style 21244. Just like Vanessa's dress, it's texture paired with a more simple fabric, except it's just flipped in this look - a textured top with a silky smooth skirt! The top is encrusted with iridescent stones, and the full satin skirt features side slash pockets.

We love our pageants at Rissy Roo's, and one of the biggest pageants out there was held this past Sunday night (June 13, 2015): the Miss USA 2015 pageant! At the event, Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez passed on her crown to Olivia Jordan, formerly Miss Oklahoma, to be crowned the new Miss USA 2015! While all of the contestants were beautiful (especially in their Sherri Hill and Mac Duggal dresses!) and gifted, the the Oklahoma native truly did stand out in the from the 50 other women vying for the crown. After all, could you blame the judges for picking her just based off of the beautiful pink gown she wore, alone?!

So beautiful!! Olivia is 26 years old and is no newbie when it comes to winning pageants or showing off for the camera. She is a model and the 2013 winner of the Miss World America contest. She was followed in the top five by first runner-up Miss Texas Ylianna Guerra, second runner-up Miss Rhode Island Anea Garcia, third runner-up Miss Nevada Brittany McGowan, and fourth runner-up Miss Maryland Mamé Adjei. The Internet basically blew up this week when everyone saw what actress Lily James wore on the red carpet for the premiere of movie Cinderella. With a fairy tale like Cinderella that's all about the dress and shoes that the main character wears, transforming her on the outside into the princess that she is inside, it was of course without question that we were excited to see what the actress who plays Cinderella, Lily, would wear for the premiere of her film. But, with red carpet looks rarely ever holding the theme of the movie or event, we weren't holding our breath. Much to our (happy) surprise, Lily James looked exactly like Cinderella walking the red carpet for the premiere of the Disney movie! Check her out in all her beauty below!

The beautifully adorned dress dress by Elie Saab had Lily looking like she should be floating in the air! This red carpet look truly shows that she is Cinderella and makes us so excited to see the film. Plus, she wore Christian Louboutin high heels that basically looked like glass slippers. Could the outfit be any more perfect? Oh wait.. it can be... She even accessorized with a clock purse by Charlotte Olympia! Because... when the clock strikes midnight...

Lily James' red carpet look was so perfect from every aspect! Since it's such a unique dress (and accessories), this is one that's hard to copy for prom. But, we have your back! The 87th Academy Awards wasn't all about the film stars. This year's awards ceremony was also about one of our favorite dress designers: Mac Duggal. The dress designer himself walked the red carpet in style at one of the hottest parties of the night, the Annual Warner Brothers Mansion Oscar Viewing Party. Not only did he dress some of the hottest stars of the night, but he was also there to walk the red carpet with his wife.

That's not the only reason the 87th Annual Academy Awards were all about Mac Duggal, though. Many of the celebrities at the Oscars were wearing his dresses! The 2014 Academy Awards were undoubtedly completely transformed by his glorious designs and elegant styles. Check out some of the celebrities that wore Mac Duggal on the Oscars red carpet below.

Keltie Knight

This edgy Mac Duggal dress has sparkling sequins that glimmer from the v-neckline down to the bottom. Lightly gracing the straps and the back, sheer illusion material is speckled with more sequins.
