The new year is finally here, and while that means looking ahead at what's to come, it also means reflecting on the year that's past. Of course, with our love for fashion, we've been looking back at some of the best dressed celebrities of 2012! We loved Lucky Magazine's list of their 25 best dressed stars because they included our favorite 4 in their picks. Check out our best dressed celebrities below and how you can get their look for your next formal event!

Jennifer Lawrence rocked some very fashionable outfits througout her Hunger Games promo tour - they even earned her a gig as the next face of the Miss Dior handbag! Our favorite dress was the one she wore to the Hollywood premiere - a Prabal Gurung gold cut-out gown. The gown reminded us of the shiny outfits the contestants wore during the Opening Ceremonies of the Hunger Games. Taylor Swift had a great year of fashion, from her casual looks, to being on the cover of Glamour, to dressing up in sparkly gowns at award shows. Lucky Magazine says that Jessica tends to wear "feminine A-line silhouettes, well-placed sequins, and lovely lace." We definitely see all of that in our favorite champagne colored dress that she wore! The 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which aired this past Tuesday (Nov. 4th)  was as amazing as ever! The performances by Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Justin Bieber were absolutely incredible - you could tell the whole place was full of Bieber Fever!

While we couldn't take our eyes off of Biebs, we were amazed by Rihanna's performance and outfits. We especially loved her Audrey Hepburn inspired black gown with pearl glasses and necklace and lace gloves. That's why we picked Faviana Style 6428 as this week's Dress of the Week. We love the classic black gown, of course with a little sexiness added in with a slit down the side and a sweetheart neckline!

The favorite Country music album winner, Carrie Underwood, stunned everyone on the red carpet in a gorgeous embellished purple gown. The high neckline and cap sleeves really give it an elegant look.

It may have a creepy name, but oxblood (you can also call it burgundy) has been all the rage lately, and for good reason; it takes the classic color red and gives it a new spin. Prom night is fast approaching. Ladies Beware!

Prom girls, be smart. Your dream dress could be a fake! The prom industry’s leading designers are still fighting the ongoing battle with fraudulent internet sites selling counterfeit prom dresses to unsuspecting teenage girls and their families. Companies are representing these dresses as authentic garments, but what the customer is receiving is a knock-off of sub-par quality, leaving them feeling scammed and distraught.  Some are not receiving any dress at all!

Protect yourself. Before purchasing a prom dress via the internet, check the designer’s website for a list of authorized retailers. Also, be aware that designers such as Jovani, La Femme, Mori Lee, Sherri Hill and Tony Bowls set an MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) that all authorized retailers must follow. Meaning, that if you are able to find the dress at a price lower than the MSRP, chances are it’s a scam. Do not buy it! Another way to ensure you are receiving the real deal is to call the company’s contact information. On Thursday afternoon, a number of the fashion industries leading designers and retailers met in New York City to discuss an issue of growing concern in the prom industry. Among the attendees were representatives from Jovani, La Femme, Mori Lee, Sherry Hill, and Tony Bowls. The topic, bogus internet sites selling counterfeit garments to unsuspecting teenage girls. Many of these sites are based in China and are selling knockoff products while representing them as authentic garments from the industry's trendiest designers. The 2011 Espy Awards (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award), which awards the top professional athletes year in and year out was held at the Nokia Theater July 13, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Always a part of Hollywood’s hottest Entourage, Emmanuelle Chriqui, who plays “Sloan” on the hit HBO show, looked F-A-B-O at last night’s Espy Awards!

Sloan was one of many presenters for the night and killed it in a black strapless Herve Leger by Max Azria dress! If the dress wasn’t smokin’ enough, the actress paired it with gorgeous, vibrant strappy platform sandals- LOVE!
