Prom Season may be over, but we have so many more prom dress testimonials to share with you to keep the dream (and now reality) alive! This week, we heard from Alex Fritz and his mom, Dina, about the prom dress that was purchased from Rissy Roo's or Alex's girlfriend, Kassy Delossantos. Both Alex and Dina had such nice words to share with us about Kassy's dress and their wonderful prom night! Check out what they had to say below:

Kassy sure did look stunning in her Rissy Roo's prom dress! And, we loved Alex's white suit and matching green tie - what a stylish couple! To get Kassy's look, go for Sherri Hill style 9713. This fun and flirty high low dress is perfect for dancing the night away! The dress features a high lace neckline, beaded straps and waistline, lace bodice, and a soft flowy chiffon skirt. We love the stunning open back on this dress! Other than green, it also comes in coral and ivory.

Kassy's silver headband was a great way to add some sparkle to her look, and matched the dress' sparkly waistband perfectly. Such a stand-out accessory!

Last year, Roo Girl Tahrea Sherman wrote us such a nice message saying that she loved her prom dress. Well, we were so happy to hear from her again this year, after attending Prom 2014 in her Rissy Roo's dress! If you read her testimonial last year, you'd know that she loves the color pink just as much as we do at Rissy Roo's. A year later, she's still all about being Pretty in Pink, because she rocked the color again for this year's prom! She chose the Fabulouss by Mac Duggal style 76629F sequin halter gown in Neon Pink for her prom dress.

The dazzling pink prom dress that Tahrea chose is made to feel like a queen in, and we can tell that she did! The dress has a halter neckline and is full of beautiful stone detail that looked so perfect on Tahrea.

We have more prom dress testimonials and pictures of our Roo Girls in their 2014 prom dresses for you! This one is so much more than showing of one of our gorgeous girls in their beautiful prom dresses, though. LaSheila Rotchford sent us in a photo of her daughter's, Jada, look from head to toe, and we are so impressed! LaSheila said:

Not only is it an amazing dress...but an amazing look all around! We loved Jada's perfect choice of jewelry and peep toe high heels for her prom look. She looked absolutely elegant! Jada chose Sherri Hill style 21058 for her prom dress.

 This strapless mermaid gown is so classy with just the right amount of sexy! The lace, embellishments, precious beading, and fitted floor-length skirt with flare and train exude elegance, while the revealing sweetheart neckline, low back design, and fitted look adds a little bit of sexiness. Jada chose to wear the gown in the Nude color, but it also comes in colors Blush/Silver, Ivory/Nude, Navy/Nude, and Red/Red.

Do you remember the elegant mermaid gown that Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) wore to Prom Night on Episode 19 of Season 4 ("Pictures of You") last year? Well, if you loved that look, the dress that Jada chose is another great way to get Caroline's style! While both of these dresses are no longer available because they've been discontinued, another gorgeous choice for rocking an elegant mermaid gown look is Sherri Hill 32237.

We've had so many of our Roo Girls send in picture of them in their Rissy Roo's dress at prom...and we've been so amazed at the pictures each and every time! One of the most recent pictures we received was so super...because it involved superhero Captain America! Check out Katlyn Mariah Rice below with her date, John Thomas Rayborn, both matching perfectly in blue...and John showing off his Captain America alter ego underneath his shirt!

 That's not the only reason Katlyn's and John's outfits are superhero style, though. When Katlyn's mom, Heather, shared the pictures with us, she told us that the two high schoolers attended two proms in one night! Here's what Heather said:

We can't believe that Katyln and John attended two proms in one night - they must have had such an amazing time together! Katlyn looked so stunning wearing Blush Prom style 9771. Dramatic shiny circular stones in a geometric pattern accentuate the one-shoulder and highlight the waist on this stunning prom dress. While you can't see it in Katlyn's pictures, the backstraps form a beautiful open back. The royal blue color of the dress makes for the perfect outfit for Captain America's girlfriend!

Katlyn and John's prom day was a superhero prom all around...from the Captain America shirt, to attending two proms in one night! We also thought the white roses were the perfect Captain America and girlfriend accessory. We love the trend of guys wearing superhero tee shirts under their prom suits. Frozen, the latest movie from Disney Animation Studios has everyone of all ages laughing and singing! Ever since the DVD release on March 18th, people everywhere are catching the Frozen buzz. Not only did this movie win the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, but the song "Let it go," performed by the voice of Elsa by Idina Menzel is a spectacular hit and is even now a cover song performed by Demi Lovato!

As a quick synopsis for the movie, the optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), has set out on a crazy adventure with mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer Sven to find her sister Elsa, who has been blessed with an amazing yet terrifying power. Elsa has the uncontrollable ability to freeze everything and has trapped the kingdom of Arendelle into an eternal winter. Attempting to save the kingdom, Anna sets off the find her sister who has locked herself far away to try to contain her power. Because the character of Elsa is so unique, we thought it would be a great idea to dress like the beautiful princess for prom! Elsa wore a stunning light blue long sleeved dress in the movie. We thought the Karishma style 3701 in light blue would be perfect for this look! It's a long-sleeved gown with jeweled neckline and a cutout back. A look made for a princess!

The 2014 Kids Choice Awards were just a few days ago, and they were so fun to watch! Two of our favorite girls of the year, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lawrence, took the show bringing home so many orange blimps! Ariana took home a blimp for her show Sam and Cat, and also took one home for Favorite TV Actress. J. Law had the big win of the night with 3 blimps: 1 for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actress, and Favorite Female Buttkicker! Congrats, Girls!

As you know, the show wasn't all we were watching, though. Our eyes were glued to the Red...ahem...Orange Carpet watching all of the lady celebrities strut their style. Our favorite dressed girl of the night was undoubtedly the lovely Lea Michele. She looked so gorgeous in her coral color lace short dress there was no doubt in our heads that she was our favorite look of the night!

Plus, she had such a fun time honing her inner Marylin Monroe that how could you not love her??

Another reason we love her Kids Choice Awards look? Because it's so easy (and so in style) to copy for Prom 2014! For a Lea Michele dress look, there's two La Femme dresses that we're loving - check them out below:

La Femme style 20386 is an adorable strapless tulle dress with a ruffled hem. The bodice is covered with lace and scattered jewels, making this dress so celeb glam!

La Femme style 19160 is all over lace! This v-neck sequin cocktail dress with a criss cross ruched bodice seems simple, but has so much detail to it. Multi shaped iridescent stones adorn the neckline and straps to give it an extra bit if sparkle.

Whether one of these dresses, or another short coral dress that you love, have fun accessorizing just like Lea, too! We loved that Lea kept the jewelry to a minimum and chose to brighten up the whole look with neon pink lipstick. Such a perfect combo and unique way to rock the coral color!

Happy April Fools Day 2014 to all of our Roo Girls! We know this is the day of tricks and pranks, but we have no tricks for you here - just lots of LOVE for April finally arriving! And, if you can't tell by our 'Happy April' image below, we're celebrating with lots of pretty pink!

April is one of our favorite months at Rissy Roo's because it marks the official start of the Prom 2014 Season. While it's of course important to start getting ready for prom as soon as possible once January comes along, April marks the beginning of people finally starting to attend their prom dances! Proms usually start for our Roo Girls towards the end of April, so for some, it's time to start putting the smaller pieces together to ensure the night is perfect, like setting up hair and nail appointments, finding shoes and accessories, and getting the dress altered.

So, we are super excited for all of our Roo Girls who already have their prom outfit together and will be attending their dance very, very soon! If you don't have your prom dress yet, though, there's still plenty of time, so don't fret.

A little lost on where to start to find your perfect prom dress? Decide on which style (for example, long vs. short vs. high-low, or ball gown vs. mermaid vs. A-line, etc.) or color (blue, pink, purple, yellow, green, etc.) you'd like to go for, or just start browsing around RissyRoos.com for ideas. One of the latest looks that she was featured wearing in the magazine is one of our favorite dresses for this prom season, so we had to make sure to share it with you.
