  • An Audrey Hepburn Pink Google Doodle for her 85th Birthday!

We were so excited to see today's Google Doodle! Why? Because it's in celebration of Audrey Hepburn's 85th birthday! Not only that, but the doodle was done in pink and black - our favorite color combination at Rissy Roo's!

    Google Doodle Audrey Hepburn

If you don't know much about Audrey Hepburn, she's an actress and fashion icon from Hollywood's Golden Age, famous for her lead role in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. She was born on May 4, 1929 in Brussels, but moved to London in 1948 to continue training as a ballet dancer.

She is considered one of the most beautiful women ever, and rose to be a star in the film world after acting in several British movies. She has awards to prove it, too! She won an Oscar, Golden Globe, and a BAFTA for her role in the film Roman Holiday. Other than Breakfast at Tiffany's, she also starred in the classic My Fair Lady.

She was known for being a philanthropist, too! Later in her life, she devoted herself to working with UNICEF on various good causes. She died at age 63 in Switzerland after a battle with cancer.

Audrey was a stunning and admirable person in every aspect of her life, from her film roles, to being a fashion icon, to the work she did in her personal life as a philanthropist and how strong she stayed through her battle with cancer. Happy birthday, Audrey!

And, here's our Google Easter Eggs list in text form to make the searching a little easier (you can just copy and past the terms into Google and hit "search!"):

    1. Type any actor's name followed by "bacon number" and Google will give you the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" value.
    2. Search for "askew" or "tilt" using Google and the search result will be displayed on an angle.
    3. Searching for "do a barrel roll" will cause the search result to rotate 360 degrees when displaying.
    4. Doing a Google Image Search for the term "Atari Breakout" will launch a playable version of Breakout.
    5. Searching for "Festivus" places a Festivus pole in the left side of the window.
