With prom season wrapping up and summer approaching, everyone has something new on their minds. Whether it's looking forward to relaxing with family and friends, preparing for college, or getting ready for an unforgettable summer, all of us will eventually have to face the reality of Fall. No worries, because Fall is an exciting time of year! It's back to school, football, and HOMECOMING! We know it is barely summer, but we are so excited to find out one of our favorite and most fabulous designers, Jovani Fashions, has announced their 2014 Homecoming collection on Facebook and their website! These dresses are so gorgeous and so much fun, we couldn't wait to share them with you!

Jovani has taken a fun, fresh approach to their homecoming designs for 2014, just like the start of a new school year. There are many bright colors to remind us of growth, instead of the typical earth tone colors we usually see for Fall. Also, the illusion trend that started early in the prom 2014 season made its way far into the Fall and is gorgeous on many Jovani homecoming designs!

Some other trends the designer decided to embrace are interesting "mod" floral patterns, as well as various black and white ensembles which are very elegant, yet young.

We are super excited to see the playing up and down of sleeves and midriffs in this unique line, too! With the weather still warm enough, Jovani designers did an excellent job of incorporating some cropped top designs and different sleeves for a breath of fresh Fall fashion air.

The 2014 Cannes Film Festival was a huge hit for new directors, producers, and FASHION! Many of the great celebs and fashionistas were there, some new and some returning, but the fashion radar was buzzing! We wanted to share with you a few of our favorite looks and some similar styles to suggest for you to get the red carpet look at home.

Before the late night shows and parties started, Kendall Jenner decided to walk along the beach and get some lunch, and she did so in such style! Early on day two of the festival, Ms. Jenner wore a Longchamp romper and Chanel "sneakers."

As you already know from our post about Miranda Lambert at the 2014 ACM Awards last week, there were so many gorgeous looks at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards! Well, Miranda's looks weren't our only favorites of the night. We were also stunned by Country artist Katie Armiger's Red Carpet look, and for a very good reason: she was wearing one of our favorite dress designers - Jovani Fashions!

 Katie wore Jovani style 94189, a stunning lace gown with leather accents and an edgy plunging neckline. Both lace and leather are so in right now, and this dress shows how to perfectly pair the two trends in one look. Plus, the dress couldn't have been any more perfect for a Red Carpet look, and it was so figure flattering on her!

We especially loved how she paired it with dark red lips and nails, a sparkly gold purse, and minimal jewelry. The dark red lips and nails always pairs perfectly with lace, leather, and black, giving of a classic look of sophistication. It's that time of year again...it's March 8th and time to celebrate women for International Women's Day! And, since we're all about making girls feel their best and look beautiful in their favorite dress at Rissy Roo's, of course we're very excited to celebrate this special day.

 If you haven't heard about International Women's Day yet, annual on March 8th, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women's craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more. Many companies even join in on celebrating the event. Google has even been creating a Google Doodle over the past few years! And, in the United States, the whole month of March is celebrated as 'Women's History Month'.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards have finally come and gone, and they were as great as we could have ever expected! Ellen DeGeneres was destined to be the host of the Oscars - she was so funny! And, we absolutely loved Jared Leto's acceptance speech for his work in Dallas Buyers Club (of course, we were also totally in love with the way he looked!). But, as always, our eyes were on the Red Carpet and all the gorgeous dresses that the celebrities wore! Yesterday we showed your our favorite Oscar Worthy Prom Dresses, but now that the lady celebrities have showed off their dresses, here's our best dressed on the 2014 Oscars Red Carpet Check and how you can steal their looks for prom.

Anna Kendrick blew us away at the Academy Awards! The Twilight star's black cut-out and sheer dress was so on-trend and looked so perfect on her! We also loved how she accessorized with red nails and a matching red purse. Red and black are always a great combination, and Anna showed us exactly why.

The 2014 Oscars is tonight and we cannot be more excited here at Rissy Roo's! The end of the 2014 Awards Season may be upon us, but this is the biggest night of all Red Carpet nights, and we can't wait to see all the gorgeous dresses that will be worn by the stars. Like we mentioned earlier this week in our "Ireland Baldwin in Mac Duggal" post, this is the 86th Academy Awards, and this year it's being hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. The Oscars begins at 7:00 EST on ABC, and you can watch the Oscars Red Carpet live coverage starting at 5:25pm from Entertainment Tonight.

With Prom Season just around the corner, we thought this was the perfect time to show some Prom love for the Oscars by picking out our favorite Oscar Worthy Dresses. Just a few days ago we showed you our Best Dresses of the 2014 Grammys picks and how you can get them for prom. But, there's one more celeb look that we're loving that we didn't share in that post: Brooklyn Haley's dress! The actress and singer/songwriter wore one of our favorite dress designers, Jovani, at the awards show.

Brooklyn strutted the Grammys red carpet in such style, wearing Jovani style 2913. This dress is a long sexy gown that features intricate beading with sheer panels and a tulle skirt. As if the sexy sheer panels isn't enough, it also has a stunning open back! Even though it's not a high-low dress, this look gives off a similar look as a high-low with the sheer skirts - It's a great way to wear a long gown but still show off a little leg!

With how popular the sheer and gems style dresses have been lately, this is a great way to wear the sexy trend in a gown form. Of course, with it also having an open back, this dress has so many trends we're loving in one look! There will be lots more from Brooklyn on both the red carpet and in music scene, so keep a look-out!

If you haven't noticed yet from our 2014 People's Choice Awards and Golden Globes posts, Award Season is officially in full swing! The PCAs and GGs are officially over, and we're now onto the 19th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards, and you better believe the red carpet was full of such gorgeous dresses!

Our favorite look of the night was worn by Best Man Holiday actress Nia Long, who wore one of our favorite dress designers, Jovani, on the 2014 Critics' Choice Awards red carpet. She wore Jovani style 77542, a curve-hugging jersey cutout gown. The age-defying actress looks amazing in just about anything, but this sheer cutout dress looked exceptionally perfect on her! The dress hugged her curves so perfectly, showing off just the right amount of skin with the sheer cutouts and open back.

During the awards ceremony, Nia hit the stage with actor Kellan Lutz to present the Best Young Actor/Actress award to Adele Exarchopoulos for her work in the film Blue Is the Warmest Color. Congrats, Adele! Continue reading →
