Happy Summer 2015! As of yesterday, summertime is officially here and we couldn't be more excited (to wear dresses, of course). From weddings, to graduation parties, to BBQs, to nights out with your besties, summer is full of events for getting dressed up.

While the weddings and more formal summer parties are always exciting, we know one of the most enjoyable times about summer is getting to spend some fun nights our with your friends. So, to help make sure you have some cute outfits to wear, we picked out some of our favorite casual summer dresses. These dresses are not only perfect for a night out, but can be worn at casual parties you have during the day, too, like a Fourth of July BBQ (believe it or not, less than two weeks away!). So, stock up on these casual dresses to take you from day to night all summer long.

Cold Shoulder Lace Dress

For a dress that's all about unique style, we love Cold Shoulder Lace Dress style KD7204. This short dress has a cold shoulder cutout and a lace embroidered layer design with crochet detail at the hemline. Off the shoulder looks are such a unique style to wear, and pairing it with lace couldn't make this look any  more on-trend. Neon Floral Print Bodycon Dress

Floral is just about the perfect print to rock all summer long. Pair it with a little neon? DONE. Peekaboo A Line Dress

Cutouts are so on-trend lately and couldn't be more perfect to show off some skin in the summer. The Peekaboo A Line Dress style 7263 features an cutout open detail in the front, and a simple, yet stunning, cutout open back design. While you can wear this as a casual dress, you can easily dress this one up for more formal or semi-formal events, too. This dress is $88.

Get Lacy Floral Lace Skater Dress

Last, but certainly not least (and there's plenty more in the Casual Dresses section of our website!), is the Get Lacy Floral Lace Skater Dress style CS2131. This flirty and fun floral lace skater dress features tank straps, a v-neckline, and a banded waist. Much like the Peekaboo A Line Dress above, fit and flare looks like these are great for just about any body type. While the dress is shown in Mint above, it also comes in White. This dress is $52.

Prom 2015 has brought prom proposals to new heights. Basically the days of simply just popping the question and asking someone to prom is over.... especially when it comes to celebrity promposals. Luckily, the boyfriend of Modern Family star Ariel Winter knew he had a big task on hand asking a celebrity to prom, and had just the right tricks up his sleeve for Ariel's promposal. Because... not even being someone's boyfriend or girlfriend is enough to get out of promposals anymore!

So, Ariel's boyfriend convinced a friend to pop out of a box, holding a "PROM?" sign, and throw flowers at Ariel. And, when we say throw flowers... we mean literally just chuck a bunch of flowers right at Ariel! We think they were flower petals that were supposed to be lightly tossed at Ariel. But, as the saying goes, you say "to-may-to," I say "to-mah-to." It's pretty hilarious (and cute!), and Ariel got a good laugh out of it, too. That's not all, though - Ariel already went to prom and you can see her in her prom dress on her Instagram account! She wore an elegant black and nude lace dress that we're absolutely obsessing over. Recognize it? It's a Jovani dress that we sell at Rissy Roo's: Jovani style 78450!

Just like Ariel Winter's prom dress, it's a black and nude lace gown, featuring an open back, a plunging neckline, and cap sleeves.

Lace dresses, especially black and/or nude, are very popular for Prom 2015. While we are so sad that today is the final day of Coachella, we have been so amazed by all of the stunning fashion statements that have been worn at the music festival over the past two weeks. From crop tops, to lace, to hippie chic, to western inspired, to beads galore, we're in love with the new festival-inspired fashion trend.

Best yet, this new festival look is definitely not something that can only be worn at festivals and as casual weekend outfits. This style is transcending all types of looks and events... even formal events! Dress designer Sherri Hill, in particular, has brought the festival fashion trend to their Prom 2015 looks. Check them out below to get a Coachella inspired look for Prom!

Crop tops have become so popular lately, whether at a music festival, a casual weekend day, a night out with friends, or even prom. For a crop top look that is Coachella reminiscent, we're all about Sherri Hill 11068. The beaded high neck sleeveless top reminds us of some of the stunning beaded tops that were worn at Coachella this year.

Fashion at Music festivals, whether Coachella, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, or many others, is all about rocking that perfect hippie chic look. When it comes to a more formal/semi-formal dress, Sherri Hill 32260 couldn't emit that hippie chic vibe any more perfectly! The allover delicate white lace covers bell sleeves, deep v-neck, and a keyhole cutout back on this short, elegant bohemian inspired cocktail dress. Beaded crystal and a gold empire waist adds just the right amount of sparkle. We love this dress for a fun and flirty after-prom look! Plus, this look is formal, yet casual enough to wear time and time again.

The next two looks are the perfect way to combine the best of both worlds when it comes to Coachella fashion trends: crop tops and lace! The first is Sherri Hill 32230. This dress is hippie chic at its best when it comes to a a longer, more formal gown. This two piece lace dress features an off the shoulder top and a long layered skirt.

The second is Sherri Hill 32255, a bohemian chic two piece lace dress that features a halter top with a beaded neckline and a stunning skirt with a matching bead detail. While this dress is no longer available, there are plenty of other bohemian looks to choose from. Bohemian two piece looks are great because of their versatility: the crop tops could easily be worn with jeans or shorts all throughout spring and summer!

The 2014 ACM Awards have come and gone, and they were so much fun to watch! It was held this past Sunday, April 6th, in Las Vegas. This year, the Academy of Country Music celebrated their 50th year, and it was done in such style.

Of course, as usual Miranda Lambert was the belle of the country ball, but she does a good job showing her humbleness no matter what. The country queen took home three trophies at the ACM Awards this year, saying "I cannot believe this; I really didn't expect it." Congrats, Miranda!

Her trophies weren't the only bling she was rocking at the awards ceremony, though. She looked so glam in her nude sparkly dress rocking the ACM Red Carpet. The tight v-neck spaghetti strapped dress fit her like a glove, and we are in love with the sparkly sequins on it!

Nude is a popular trend right now, making Miranda's nude gown look is perfect for bringing to prom. To steal her look, check out Terani style P3131, an illusion v-neck spaghetti strap gown with sheer mesh skirt and crystal and beaded embellishments at the bust and midsection.

That wasn't the only look that Miranda wore to this year's American Country Music Awards that's perfect of rocking at prom, though! Miranda was all about changing up her dresses at the event this year, and we were loving every look she wore. The other dress she rocked that has prom written all over it was the coral strapless lace number she wore while showing off all of her trophies in the press room after the ceremony ended.

To get her so girly coral lace look, we're all about La Femme style 19160, a fit and flare all over short lace dress. This was also a dress we mentioned last week in our blog post about how to get Lea Michele's 2014 Kids Choice Awards look, so this is definitely a perfect dress to be rocking celebrity style at prom! The 2014 Kids Choice Awards were just a few days ago, and they were so fun to watch! Two of our favorite girls of the year, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lawrence, took the show bringing home so many orange blimps! Ariana took home a blimp for her show Sam and Cat, and also took one home for Favorite TV Actress. J. Law had the big win of the night with 3 blimps: 1 for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actress, and Favorite Female Buttkicker! Congrats, Girls!

As you know, the show wasn't all we were watching, though. Our eyes were glued to the Red...ahem...Orange Carpet watching all of the lady celebrities strut their style. Our favorite dressed girl of the night was undoubtedly the lovely Lea Michele. She looked so gorgeous in her coral color lace short dress there was no doubt in our heads that she was our favorite look of the night!

Plus, she had such a fun time honing her inner Marylin Monroe that how could you not love her??

Another reason we love her Kids Choice Awards look? Because it's so easy (and so in style) to copy for Prom 2014! For a Lea Michele dress look, there's two La Femme dresses that we're loving - check them out below:

La Femme style 20386 is an adorable strapless tulle dress with a ruffled hem. The bodice is covered with lace and scattered jewels, making this dress so celeb glam!

La Femme style 19160 is all over lace! This v-neck sequin cocktail dress with a criss cross ruched bodice seems simple, but has so much detail to it. Multi shaped iridescent stones adorn the neckline and straps to give it an extra bit if sparkle.

Whether one of these dresses, or another short coral dress that you love, have fun accessorizing just like Lea, too! We loved that Lea kept the jewelry to a minimum and chose to brighten up the whole look with neon pink lipstick. Such a perfect combo and unique way to rock the coral color!

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we know that it means that it's also time for Sweetheart Dances! So, to make sure that all of our Roo Girls are ready to go, we wanted to pick out our favorite sweetheart dance dresses for a fun night of celebrating V-day. Last year, we showed you both red and pink dresses that could be worn to a Sweetheart Dance, but this year there's so many absolutely gorgeous red dresses that we're obsessing over the classic V-Day color. Check them out below!

Dave & Johnny style 10456 has us gushing for Valentine's Day! This short tulle dress is so perfect for V-Day with its high illusion neckline, sequin bust, cap sleeves, illusion back, and little bits of lace around the neckline. It's a great combination of glam and sultry for a Sweetheart Dance.

Terani style P3003 is a perfect pick for lots of pretty lace, tulle, and the so popular sheer. This strapless sweetheart dress has a flared mesh skirt and sheer bodice that's accented with lace appliqué and is great if you're looking for more of a classic prom-style look for your Sweetheart Dance dress. This dress also comes in an Ivory/Nude color, so if you want to stay away from the classic red V-Day look, this dress may be for you. Ivory and White dresses are definitely a perfect way to still show your love for the holiday if you don't like red!

For a fitted cocktail dress look, we love Sherri Hill style 21185. It's a unique cocktail dress with an asymmetrical neckline and funky embellished one sleeve dress. With a form fitted mini skirt, this dress is sure make an impression. This dress comes in so many different colors other than the Red/Nude color above: Black/Nude, Navy/Nude, and Nude. An LBD is also always a great option for a Sweetheart Dance, so choosing this dress in the Black/Nude color option is definitely a great choice, as well!
