  • Demi Lovato Covers Adele's "When We Were Young" At Cleveland Concert

Adele's voice is pure gold. From "Hello" to "Someone Like You," she has an incredible sound to her that most singers, no matter how talented, would never begin to attempt to mimic. Except for one... the talented Demi Lovato, of course. The singer is currently on her tour for "Future Now: The Tour." During her Cleveland performance on Friday, September 2nd, Demi surprised and stunned the audience with a cover of Adele's "When We Were Young."

Youtuber JWBGSU explained that while on stage, Demi explained that she had a special treat for Cleveland and that she wanted to sing one of her favorite songs. But, she had never sung it before. In true Demi fashion, she went on to sing the emotional ballad "When We Were Young," and it was obviously amazing. Check out a video of the performance below.

In just one week, the fan-uploaded video of Demi's performance already has over 700,000 views. A sign of just how incredible Demi's version of Adele's song is.  Continue reading

  • Taylor Swift Surprise "All Of Me" Performance with John Legend

Taylor Swift is off on her 1989 tour, and she is basically surprising people left and right at every stop with famous musicians, celebrities, and even sports stars showing up on-stage with her. From Kobe Bryant to Alanis Morissette to Ellen DeGeneres, Tay is pretty darn popular! Her newest 1989 tour surprise has got us Roo Girls talking for more reasons than one, though.

For her big 1989 date in Los Angeles, CA, she had a big surprise for her fans. Tay brought out artist John Legend for a duet on his song "All of Me." How did this all happen? Apparently, because Taylor happened to hear that John and his wife Chrissy Teigen were on their way over to see her performance. So, she called to see if John wanted to join her on stage, and join she did!

Of course, if you know us at RissyRoos.com, the Tay and John duet obviously wasn't the only thing we were crushing over. Look at that gorgeous long-sleeved gown Taylor wore (which she was clearly loving by all of her little movements)! It had us dreaming of prom days, to say the least. It also had us thinking of a particular dress that makes for a perfect way to get Taylor's look for your next formal event: Tarik Ediz 92579.

    Tarik Ediz 92579

Style 92579 is a vibrant ball gown that features a high neckline, lace illusion bodice, and a full tulle skirt. The elegance and boldness of this dress basically screams Taylor Swift!

John isn't the only artist that she brought up on stage at the Los Angeles Staples Center show, though. St. Vincent and Beck also joined her on stage to sing Beck's song "Dreams." Check it out below.

And, of course, with a change of artists comes a change of outfit! She put on a more flirty choice - a two piece white romper, which had us thinking of the sexy white rompers worn in her Bad Blood music video. To copy this white two piece look for a perfect homecoming choice, we're loving Black by Blush C319.

    Blush c319

Style C319 is a chic and sleek two piece jersey knit featuring a tank style crop top encrusted with opaque color coordinating beadwork and a rouged pencil skirt accented with a belt of matching beading.

From genre changing albums, to awesome celebrity friends, to super chic fashion choices, Tay certainly never disappoints. We can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!

  • The Taylor Swift Bad Blood Video is EPIC!

We all know that Taylor Swift was the artist of the night at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards for more reasons that one (she won many awards!). But, the event everyone is still talking about days after the Billboard Music Awards ended is Tay finally releasing hew newest music video: Bad Blood!

The music video is ah-maz-ing... to put it lightly. It's full of action, great music (duh!), stunning outfits, and endless stars! There are too many celebrities in the video to name them all, but some of our favorites included Hayley Williams of Paramore, Jessica Alba, Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, and Cara Delevingne. Phew... and that was only six of the celebs that made an appearance in the video! Tay has so many friends! Check out the video, and see if you can name all of the stars. Plus, if you love the stunning fashion throughout the video, read on because we picked out our favorite ways to take a cue from the Taylor Swift Bad Blood video at your next formal or semi formal event.

The very first outfit Tay shows off in this video is a stunning two tone nude and black corset and mini skirt outfit. Could the video start out any better from a fashion standpoint?! To get a similar look to Taylor's nude/black from the beginning of "Bad Blood," go with Faviana 7428. It's a short cocktail dress that features a multi layer chiffon skirt and a structured lace bodice. It comes in Black/Nude, just like Tay's outfit!

    Faviana 7428

The video starts out with an outfit that's more feminine, like we know Tay's outfits to be in real life, but it then quickly turns to all the girls wearing sleek, sexy, ninja-inspired leather outfits. What else would ninjas wear?! For a ninja-inspired look that's sleek and sexy like all of the black leather jumpsuits and rompers Tay's entourage wore in "Bad Blood," go with romper La Femme 21339. It's an elegant chiffon dress with shorts, a sweetheart neckline, and belt around the waist. Perfect for kicking some ass in style!

    La Femme 21339

Black was definitely the color of choice for outfits for the Bad Blood music video, but there were two white outfits in the video that were so stunning! Tay and "Frostbye" (Lily Aldridge) wore wintery white rompers while practice fighting in the video. For a white romper look like these two ninjas, go with La Femme 21526. It's a unique dress with a sheer tulle skirt, shorts, and pockets (because ninja spies have some essentials to carry, like compact mirrors that turn into throwing stars). The bodice is a sweetheart neckline and has a thin belt around the waist.

    La Femme 21526

All we have to say is that we hope the Bad Blood music video gets turned into a movie! It looks like it could be the next Charlie's Angels to us! What an all-around amazing video. We can't wait to see what Tay has in store next for her 1989 album! Oh...and we're totally loving Taylor Swift with red hair, by the way.

  • Natty Valencia's All About That Bass Parody Cover Is Even MORE Body Positive!

We love the song All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor here at Rissy Roo's - not only does it have a great (dance) beat, but Meghan sings about such a positive message. In a world where it's difficult to find pop and dance songs with breakthrough meanings and messages to believe in, Meghan brings to the forefront a body positive message that all girls should keep in mind.

Well, if you've been following the song at all, you know there's been some controversy behind it. So, Canadian singer/songwriter Natty Valenia took Meghan's smash hit song to a whole new message of positivity and inclusiveness by re-writing some of the lyrics! Natty made the song a little more inclusive for girls of all shapes and sizes...including girls without curves (as Natty mentions she is one of those girls).

Here are some of the body-positive lyrics that Natty re-wrote the song to be:

    It's not about your waist
    'Bout your waist, don't settle
For a guy who has no taste, has no taste, don't settle
    It's time that you embrace
    You've got grace, don't settle
It's not about your waist, 'bout the size of your waist

So perfect, right? She even re-titled it "Not About Your Waist." Listen to the whole All About That Bass parody cover and Natty's reasoning for writing it here:

If you've never heard the original song "All About That Base" by Meghan Trainor (or just want to re-listen to it), here it is for your listening and viewing pleasure:

    http://youtu.be/7PCkvCPvDXk

We'll be waiting patiently for more songs from both Meghan and Natty! They both have a lot of positive messages to share, so we can't wait to hear more. What do you think of the original All About That Bass and Natty's re-write? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts!

  • Shake It Off by Taylor Swift Is Our New Anthem!

The time has finally come - Taylor Swift debuted a brand new song during her Yahoo! live stream today, and we have already become so obsessed with it! The new song is called "Shake It Off" and it is by far our new favorite dance jam (we may have already listened to it 10 times in a row...). Shake It Off by Taylor Swift is all about brushing off the haters and...you guessed it...shaking it off and moving on. We can definitely get behind that message! Watch the new video here:

    We love the chorus:

"But, I keep cruzin', can't stop, won't stop groovin', It's like I got this music in my mind sayin' it's gonna be alright!"

We're thinking it's this very song that's keeping her cruzin' right along. What an anthem!

That's not all that T-Swift revealed during the Yahoo! live stream, though. She also revealed the name of her new upcoming album, which will be available October 27th. It's called 1989, and she's been working on it for two years now, so it should be an incredible listen (especially with this song on it)! She explained that the album was inspired by the "late '80s" pop she was listening to. She described the '80s as "a time of limitless potential," a time of being bright and bold. Of course, Tay was also born in 1989, so that may of had some influence on her album title choice!

Needless to say, you can definitely hear the influence in her new single. She even said during the stream that this will be her, "first documented, official pop album." No more country Taylor Swift - bring on the pop superstar! We can wait to see what else she has in store for binging some pop influence to her music!

  • Paris Hilton Wears Mac Duggal In Her New Video Come Alive!

Paris Hilton's newest single "Come Alive" finally came out on July 15, 2014, and we're loving it! The song is so much fun, and the video is so whimsical, with Paris frolicking in an open field, hanging out on a cloud, swinging on a swing full of beautiful flowers...and there's even a unicorn and a rainbow! Check out the video here:

    http://youtu.be/6KXwYjG8txo

We love the chorus and overall message:

"You make me smile, you make me dream, you make me feel alive. You make me dance, you make me feel, you make me come to life, you make me come alive, you make me feel alive."

Who wouldn't want to be with someone who made you feel that way?? And of course, Paris looks as gorgeous as ever with her diamond encrusted nails and flower filled hair. There's one other reason we're digging Paris' look, though: did you catch her wearing one of our favorite dress designers in the video? She rocked Mac Duggal style 3908A in the part of the video where she's with the unicorn!

Paris Hilton in Mac Duggal 3908A in "Come Alive" music video!

Mac Duggal 3908A is a fully sequined, high fashion gown with an open back that looked absolutely fabulous on Paris! The sequins on this gown had Paris sparkling perfectly within her video, and really helped her "come alive!" The whole scene with her in the sparkly Mac Duggal gown, with the unicorn and rainbow in the background looked like something out of a dream!

    MacDuggal 3908A

While the color that Paris wore in the video is no longer available, Mac Duggal 3908A is also available in a show-stopping Peacock color, which you can see above. It's definitely the perfect way to feel like a celebrity at Prom or your next formal event!

Do you love the Paris Hilton Come Alive music video as much as we do? Leave your comments below and let us know!

Juicy J. and "Dark Horse?" Or what about Beyonce ft. Jay Z for "Drunk in Love?" How will we ever tell?
