  • Sadie Robertson at New York Fashion Week with Sherri Hill!

New York Fashion Week 2013 may have come to a close, but we're still oogling over all the lovely looks! We talked about Sherri Hill's runway show last week...but we're still not over all the beautiful new dresses they debuted, especially Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson's new line with the designer, "Sadie Robertson Live Original." So, we wanted to recap some of the pretty dresses she wore on the runway. The dresses aren't out yet, but take a sneak peek below at some of the new Sherri Hill dresses to come for Spring 2014. And, they are all of course ,"daddy approved," so they're definitely formal appropriate (hint, hint...a little prom inspiration!)!

Above, Sadie Robertson is on the stage with the dress designer herself, Sherri Hill! She's wearing a gorgeously elegant polka dot gown that will be available for Prom 2014. The look may be, "daddy approved," but will still definitely be turning a lot of heads!

Sadie Robertson on the NYFW Red Carpet

As a "sneak peek" to what was to come on the runway, Sadie wore a different polka dot look on the red carpet. This first polka dot dress she wore was a short cocktail dress - so perfect for a fun and flirty look for a formal event!

Another Sherri Hill look that she rocked so perfectly on the runway was the above champagne colored cocktail dress. The lace detailing at the bottom of the dress and rhinestone encrusted sweetheart neckline add the perfect extra touches to make it such a unique look!

Before the show in an interview with E!, Sadie admitted that she was, "a little nervous, but more excited than anything." She definitely didn't show her nerves on the runway - she walked it like a seasoned model! These dresses will be coming to www.RissyRoos.com for Spring 2014, and we'll definitely keep you updated once they arrive. Stay tuned!

  • Nina Dobrev & Kristen Stewart at the 2013 Met Gala

The annual Met Gala was held in New York City on Monday night, April 6th, with this year highlighting the Metropolitan Museum of Art's spring collection, "PUNK: Chaos to Couture." We were so amazed by how many celebrities got into the theme!

It was hard to pick, but two of our favorite looks of the night were worn by Nina Dobrev and Kristen Stewart. We ultimately settled on these two celebs because we loved that they both rocked jumpsuits - it must be a vampire thing! Check out what they wore below and how you can get similar looks for your next formal event. If you want a stand-out look for prom, these rompers are certainly a perfect option!

    Nina Dobrev

Nina looked all vamped out in her black lace jumpsuit! We loved how the feminine detailing of the lace and tulle overskirt was offset by the black leather harness - so punk! The Vampire Diaries star looked extra fierce with her dramatic eyeliner and mohawk-inspired hairdo. We're so used to her cute, girly look on The Vampire Diaries (except when she's playing Katherine, of course!), that we were amazed by her high-fashion, dark look.

Nina Dobrev at the Met Gala 2013

One of our jumpsuits for this year, Claudine for Alyce style 2232, immediately reminded us of Nina's look! Just like Nina's jumpsuit, it features beautiful lace and sheer for a chic look, a sweetheart neckline, and a long tulle overskirt. Continue reading
