Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega, was finally crowned last week, and one of our favorite dress designers was of course at the forefront of the pageant providing gorgeous gowns for all of the contestants: Mac Duggal! The dress designer's latest prom styles and never-before-seen pageant gowns were on display in Miami from the red carpet, to the runway, to the Miss Universe pageant. In combination with La Casa Hermosa and AMerican Model Magazine, Mac Duggal hosted a special Miami fashion show to kick off the Miss Universe Pageant!

The event was hosted at the historic Beauville Beach Resort in Miami, a perfect place to watch such gorgeous gowns walk the runway! American Model Magazine started the evening off with a photo shoot where all of the models got to show off their Mac Duggal gowns in front of a beautiful backdrop. In the photo below, American Model Magazine models are showing off Mac Duggal 4152 (left) and Mac Duggal 65024 (right).

After the photo shoot, it was time to start walking the red carpet! On the red carpet, Miss South Florida USA, Lisa Opie interviewed Mac Duggal to learn all about what's going on in the pageant world. He spoke about the latest trends and his contribution to all things pageant! Watch the interview here:

Once the interviews were complete and the photos taken, it was finally time for the runway show to begin. The runway models showed off some of the latest Spring 2015 prom dresses, but also unveiled some brand new pageant gowns that have never been seen before. It was definitely the perfect way to get in the mood for the Miss Universe pageant!

A new year always means lots of new events to attend, which gets us excited to not only help all of our Roo Girls find their perfect dresses, but to then get to see them all dressed up at their events! Our most recent dress testimonial comes from Macie Buch and her mom Jennifer Wyers-Buch. Macie recently attended her Majors ball and wore one of our favorite new looks from our Spring 2015 collection: Sherri Hill 32146. Jennifer sent us the below pictures of Macie and said:

We thought this picture was too cute! Macie certainly looked flawless in her leopard print Sherri Hill dress! The number she chose is a fun and flirty cocktail dress that features not only the stand-out leopard print full taffeta skirt, but also a shiny, chunky black beaded strapless bodice, hidden side pockets (which you can see in the picture of Macie blow), and a peek-a-boo layer of pink tulle underneath the skirt. It's such a chic look, and Macie showed it off so well!

Check out those so practical hidden pockets! Macie's posing here with her cheerleader friend Danielle Ludlam. They both look so cute in their two-toned dresses.

We loved everything about Macie's look - from her dress (of course), to her loose curls, simple makeup, and statement necklace. It's a perfect (flawless!) look for any semi-formal or formal event... from a Majors Ball, to Prom, or even a Sweet 16. We can definitely see why she was the talk of the night!

It's officially Prom Season again! All of the new Prom dresses are here, and this year's styles are just stunning. From sparkles to lace to two piece to ball gowns, there are so many gorgeous new looks to choose from that it almost makes it impossible to pick just one. While it can be hard to narrow it down to just one dress, there are certain things you can keep in mind and look out for to help narrow down your choices. One of those important 'check list' items is what's on-trend during a given season, which is what will be focused on here. There are five trends in particular that are set to be very popular for Prom 2015. If you want to ensure you're dressed just like celebrities and red carpet fashion this prom season, start your prom dress search by choosing from one of the below five trends!

1. High Necklines

Necklines can be overlooked at times, but they are are big contributor to framing your figure when it comes to choosing just about any outfit (from a prom dress to a work outfit to your causal every day clothes). When choosing a neckline, factor in your bust size, neck length, height, and even the shape of your face.

High necklines have become popular lately because of their glamorous look and flattering attributes. For one, they make accessorizing easier since many have glitzy beading around the neck that mimics a necklace! In particular, look out for the high neckline halter tops that are gracing this year's prom dresses; they are considered a universally flattering neckline.

Mori Lee 97052 is an example of a high neckline halter top dress that would flatter just about any figure. It's a beautifully beaded high neck evening gown with a sexy open back and flowy chiffon skirt.

2. Sheer Dresses

Sheer dresses, also known as illusion dresses, were one of the hottest trends of 2014, and will continue to be at the top of the trends list for 2015. Sheer is all about showing off some skin in style and class, and this year's Spring 2015 dresses definitely achieve that.

What's particularly great about the sheer trend is that you can rock the look as much or as little as you find comfortable. There are dresses that incorporate sheer from head to toe, and then there are dresses that only have sheer in certain areas, like on the bodice.

Dress designer Jovani is all about sheer dresses this year; their Spring 2015 collection is full of a variety of sheer dresses. "The Bachelor" star Chris Soules kicked off Season 19 this past Monday by kicking out eight women already! While we're sad to see eight go so soon, all of the girls looked so stunning in their dresses! You may have even recognized some of the dresses; we sure did. A few of the girls wearing Sherri Hill dresses!

Do you see the Sherri Hill dress in the photo above? The girl that's three in to Chris' left, Amanda, is wearing one of our most popular Sherri Hill dresses: Sherri Hill 11068! The brilliantly designed evening gown that Amanda wore features a beaded high neck sleeveless crop top and a long slim skirt that features a beaded waist. It couldn't have looked more stunning on her! We especially loved the black color of the gown against her blonde hair; a perfect way to stand out.

That's not the only Sherri Hill dress on the show, though! During the pre-show one of The Bachelor woman wore Sherri Hill 11151. This stunning evening gown features a sheer high neckline with lace embellishments and a long flowy chiffon skirt.

Most importantly about the dresses... they are all looks that can be worn for your next formal event... perhaps your very own holiday party... or Prom 2015! So, check out the looks each of the PLL girls wore below and how you can get them. Spoiler alert: one of them is even a Sherri Hill dress!

Allison

Allison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) rocked a look that was all about art deco elegance! Sharp lines and glittering sequins adorned her grey colored dress.

Get Allison's look with Sherri Hill 1939, an elegant evening gown that features a beautifully beaded illusion neckline, cap sleeves, open back and a flared mermaid style hemline.

Emily

Do you recognize the dress that Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) wore in the PLL ChristmAs episode? It's a Sherri Hill dress! Emily rocked Sherri Hill 11157, a nude colored bias-cut deep v-neck beaded evening gown. The sparkles and nude color make this dress so perfect for a holiday formal event, but we also love it for prom! While this dress is discontinued, you can get a look just like it with another Sherri Hill dress, style 1959.

Spencer

Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) rocked a sparkly silver number with spaghetti straps during the episode.

To get a look like Spencer's go with Dave & Johnny 687, a sparkly sequin evening gown with a sweetheart neckline and thin spaghetti straps. We especially love how this dress accents your waist, similar to Spencer's dress!

Hanna

 Hanna Marin (played one of our faves... Ashley Benson) rocked an elegant form fitting all over white lace gown.

Get Hanna's Pretty Little Liars Christmas special look with La Femme 20117, a sophisticated cap sleeve lace mermaid gown. Just like Hanna's dress, the lining is nude and the neckline is sweetheart shaped. This dress has a little bit of extra style, though, as it has an open back with sleeves hooking across the neck! We love the idea of rocking winter white for the holidays, so don't be afraid to wear this dress to a holiday party, just like Hanna did. And, of course, white is always perfect for prom season!

Aria

Aria Montgomery's (Lucy Hale) dress was so gorgeous...a present from her boyfriend Ezria! We loved the elegance of her floral and tulle cap sleeved look.

Get a glam, yet elegant look like Aria's with Sherri Hill 11171, a short and sophisticated cocktail dress that features a sheer neckline and cap sleeves that are covered in floral embroidery and a short layered tulle skirt. So pretty!

We can't believe 2014 is coming to a quick end, and 2015 is almost here! We're sure you're deep in holiday 2014 shopping, but Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color, is one step ahead of you and is ready to bring on 2015! Pantone has named its Pantone Color of the Year 2015 recently, and it is... Marsala!

Never heard of the color Marsala before? It's a deep red that will surely get you even more into the Holiday 2014 mood! Pantone describes it as:

"A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls....The impactful, full-bodied qualities of Marsala make for an elegant, grounded statement color when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors."

Whether rocking this color for the holidays, prom, or any other semi-formal or formal event, this is definitely a color to stand out in. Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, described, "Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth." This year's 48th Annual CMA Awards brought a new flair to Country Music by adding performances from pop starlets like Ariana Grande and Meghan Trainer, but of course, all eyes were on the red carpet fashions of Country Music's finest. Danielle Bradbery is one country music singer who had the crowds talking! She looked stunning in a black Jovani jersey gown that featured a plunging neckline, Jovani style 22884!

The elegant dress was a great choice for the songstress, who brought some edge to the outfit by pairing it with a fierce ring-to-wrist bracelet, a messy fishtail braid, and white nails. The white nail polish was such a fun choice for a little bit of contrast against her black gown. And, side braids are so popular right now, so we loved her choice of keeping her hair simple, but classy, with the fishtail braid.

Danielle is a country singer from Cypress, Texas and is known for appearing on NBC's show The Voice. She won season four of The Voice in 2013, becoming the youngest contestant to come in first place. Her debut studio album, Danielle Bradbery, was released last November, which featured her single "The Heart of Dixie."

While Danielle rocked Jovani 22884 in classic black, this dress comes in 3 other classic colors: navy, off white, and red. Whatever color you choose, this is an amazing stand-out dress that's so perfect for prom! This gown and all four colors it comes in is also perfect if you have a formal Holiday party to attend. Just about every little girl (and woman!) dreams of a Disney princess inspired wedding. From the wedding dress, to the cake, to the bridesmaid dresses, to the location...it's definitely a hard dream to pull off in real life! Well, online wedding marketplace Your Cloud Parade recently teamed up with singer and designer Traci Hines to bring one Disney princess childhood dream to life with a wedding photo shoot inspired by the Disney movie The Little Mermaid! Traci played the role of mermaid bride Ariel, while model Leo Camacho played the groom, Prince Eric!

Get The Little Mermaid Look

Ready to see how you can get this look for your own formal event? Check out our two favorite ombre dresses below to rock Ariel's look!

La Femme style 19549 has the opposite ombre pattern of Ariel's (aqua to white, rather than white to aqua), but the dress reminds us so much of the ocean and mermaids that it's one of our favorites to steal Ariel's look. This chiffon gown has a criss cross ruched bodice that reminds us of Ariel's bikini top from the movie.
