The beauty trends for Haute Couture Fashion week are anything but average. In fact, the typical adjectives used to capture the art displayed by various designers and artists include wild, eclectic, and whimsical. However non-realistic and daring these hair and makeup looks may be, they always seem to have an underlying layer of prettiness drawing us to them and tempting us to give them a try on our own mini runways in everyday life. Here are a few of the 2014 Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week beauty trends we enjoyed the most and would be willing to try for Fall and Homecoming 2014.

Chanel Haute Couture 2014

Each model rocked a sequin cap with a feathered, extremely piece-y up-do. We love this rocker goes glam inspired look complete with metallic winged eyeliner. The silver and gold glow on the eyes reminds of Winter and the holidays!

Atelier Versace Haute Couture 2014

Move over barely there eye makeup. It looks like Atelier Versace went all out with an all over eye color and gave new meaning to winged eyes. Instead of a winged tip, these models had fully winged eyelids in teal for a sultry dramatic effect, which was balanced with nude lips and high slick backed top knots! This look has 70's disco party all over it and we are ready to put on a jumper and dance.

On Aura Tout Vu Haute Couture 2014

The models for this show walked in an ethereal water wonderland with violet shadowed, sunken eyes, also lined in metallic silvers giving an icy winter presence. The tight pin curls on the models have a wet look, which ties in with the entire Haute Couture collection being inspired by water. We can certainly get "aboard" with this look for the Fall and Winter months ahead.

Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall 2014

We thought adhesive eyelashes were a miracle, but we didn't know what was coming next. Makeup artists for the Christian Dior Haute Couture show kept the trending curve going with metallic eyes, only with the exception of using silver adhesive liners instead. We would give these "Velvet Eyes" adhesive liners a go for their perfect shapes, bold colors, and long wear appeal.

After reviewing our favorite beauty trends of 2014's Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, we feel less disappointed knowing Summer will eventually come to an end. Knowing we will have exciting makeup, hair, and fashion trends to look forward to certainly puts our minds at ease!

Miami Fashion Week, held each year in Miami Beach, Florida is a spicy Fashion week broadcasting the most creative and passionate fashions of the resort collections to the USA, Mexico, Latin America, Canada, and Europe! Hundreds of media and social outlets meet with designers and party with the glamorous celebs and high fashion crowds for this special occasion! It just so happens that one of our fave world-renowned prom and evening wear designers, Sherri Hill lit up the stage with a runway show at this extravagant event!

Sherri Hill is no newbie to the fashion show game. After working with now competitor Jovani Fashions for 8 years, Sherri Hill started her own line in 2008. Soon after, her designs began to get name recognition in the pageant world as several top competition winners began to win in her gowns! Now, over 800 stores scattered in 30 countries sell the Sherri Hill brand and it's only getting better. Continuously dressing celebrities for the Red Carpet like Selena Gomez and Bella Thorne, The Sherri Hill Collection hit New York Fashion Week's 2011 runway with Kendall Jenner walking for the show, as well as other big names. The Spring 2013 Spring Collection featured Kendall and Kylie Jenner walking the New York Fashion Week show, as well as Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza!

At MFW 2014, Sherri featured her contemporary designs with a twist for the resort 2014 collection and it was perfection as always! One of the fabulous models walking for Sherri Hill was Miss Universe 2013, Gabriela Isler! She was beautiful and sparkled down the runway like the diamond that she is!

The next complete Sherri Hill collection will be featured on her website June 2nd, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for Homecoming and Fall! Are you excited? What was you favorite Sherri Hill dress this season?

It looks like one of our favorite designers is conquering the world one day at a time! Famed dress and evening gown designer Johnathan Kayne is keeping busy this April, making a splash where ever he goes! He began the month featured at Nashville Fashion Week's closing night and the entire JK team partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a girl's dream come true! Together, they had 14-year-old Esperanza Montalvo live her lifelong dream of becoming a runway model as she strut the catwalk with Johnathan during the closing night finale! The crowd was cheering while Esperanza wore a gorgeous pink strapless gown, Johnathan Kayne style 409, on the 45-foot catwalk. What a dream come true!

Keeping busy, Mr. Kayne went from Nashville to Las Vegas to dress celebrities for the American Country Music Awards! Song of the year winner, Lee Brice wore a custom Johnathan Kayne tuxedo jacket with leather accents and brass detail. Lee's wife Sara was also dressed in a Johnathan Kayne gorgeous sparkly gold gown, and won one of People Magazine's top ten best dressed! Get her look with these Johnathan Kayne gold dresses.

Johnathan also dressed USA Today's Red Carpet Correspondent Hilary Bilings, also known as Miss Nevada 2013,  in a pretty bright blue embellished mermaid gown! Way to go Johnathan! Check out more Johnathan Kayne blue dresses.

Already working hard on the upcoming 2015 collection, Johnathan is one busy man! What will Mr. Kayne be up to next? I guess we will have to wait and see! As for now in his words, "XOXO Stay Beautiful!"

New York Fashion Week 2013 may have come to a close, but we're still oogling over all the lovely looks! We talked about Sherri Hill's runway show last week...but we're still not over all the beautiful new dresses they debuted, especially Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson's new line with the designer, "Sadie Robertson Live Original." So, we wanted to recap some of the pretty dresses she wore on the runway. The dresses aren't out yet, but take a sneak peek below at some of the new Sherri Hill dresses to come for Spring 2014. And, they are all of course ,"daddy approved," so they're definitely formal appropriate (hint, hint...a little prom inspiration!)!

Above, Sadie Robertson is on the stage with the dress designer herself, Sherri Hill! She's wearing a gorgeously elegant polka dot gown that will be available for Prom 2014. The look may be, "daddy approved," but will still definitely be turning a lot of heads!

As a "sneak peek" to what was to come on the runway, Sadie wore a different polka dot look on the red carpet. This first polka dot dress she wore was a short cocktail dress - so perfect for a fun and flirty look for a formal event!

Another Sherri Hill look that she rocked so perfectly on the runway was the above champagne colored cocktail dress. The lace detailing at the bottom of the dress and rhinestone encrusted sweetheart neckline add the perfect extra touches to make it such a unique look!

Before the show in an interview with E!, Sadie admitted that she was, "a little nervous, but more excited than anything." She definitely didn't show her nerves on the runway - she walked it like a seasoned model! Finding the perfect prom dress is of course a very important (and sometimes difficult) task. And, every girl unquestionably dreams of wearing the most fashionable frock on prom night. If you could choose your dress right off the Fashion Week Runway, who wouldn't jump at that chance?? That's why we loved Teen Vogue Magazine's latest article -  they sat down with some of fashion's stars to talk all about prom memories and what they wore! The models they talked to were Karlie Kloss, Ali Stephens, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Andie Arthur, and Kelly Mittendorf, and all of their stories were great. We especially loved Jacquelyn's and Karlie's stories, though - check them out below!

Jacquelyn Jablonski, pictured ready for prom in her white dress in Teen Vogue's image above, is a model from Rissy Roo's home state - New Jersey! She started her modeling career at just 15 years old, so she was always up to date on the biggest trends to wear at prom. She has been a model in campaigns for many famous designers, such as Givenchy, Pucci, Hermes, J. Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, and Max Mara. She's even been a part of H&M and Gap's campaigns!

When Jacquelyn talked to Teen Vogue about prom, she said:

"I chose a white dress. I decided on white because I had worn a mint green dress the year before and felt like everyone wears color. Also, I could accessorize more with white—I wore my mom's big vintage necklace."

That's definitely great advice to keep in mind for those who love accessorizing - going with a more simple dress can mean more room for fun jewelry and shoes!

Karlie Kloss, pictured all dressed up for prom on the left in Teen Vogue's photo above, started modeling at 14 years old, so she always got to take her fashion knowledge to prom, too! She is ranked on the Top 50 Models Women list by Models.com, and Vogue Paris named her one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. So, you can guess that just like Jacquelyn, she's modeled for the best of the best in the fashion industry - Christian Dior, Lacoste, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta, and many more.

As far as prom goes, Karlie told Teen Vogue:

"It was special to be able to wear dresses fresh off the runway to my high school dances! Even though nobody else ever knew who or what I was wearing, I did, and it always made me feel like a princess."

Even though Spring and Summer are gone, many of the fashion trends of the two warm seasons have been sticking around in Fall, and don't plan on going anywhere for the Winter. Lace is one of those trends. But, it's not only the darker lace colors like blue and black that are popular right now - the lighter looks like ivory, white, and nude are sticking around for the colder months, too.

Teen Vogue mentioned that the lead designers have been freshening up their Fall runways with the lace trend. Simone Rocha, Dolce & Gabbana, and Michael Kors all had lots of lace (in both dark and light colors) throughout their Fall Winter 2012/2013 Fashion Shows. Check out our favorite outfits from their runway shows below.

Lace is definitely a classy way to dress up any outfit, and it without a doubt exudes the look and feel of the Holidays. The fabric is great to wear to a number of Holiday events - from Christmas parties with your family, Holiday parties with co-workers, or a New Year's Eve night out with friends.  Below are some of our favorite lace cocktail dresses that are similar to what the designers are showing off in their Fall/Winter fashion shows.

Wearing the lighter lace colors to holiday events is a great way to stand out in the crowd if you want a bolder look; but, choosing a darker lace fabric is always a classic for the holidays, and you'll still be sure to turn heads. Decorating our clothing with flowers has been a tradition for hundreds of year.  Originating in Asia, large floral prints on women’s kimonos represented natural beauty and femininity.  Europeans, fascinated by this culture, adapted floral prints for their own society during the renaissance.  It became a fashion statement for upper class women to wear dresses made from luxurious fabrics covered in beautiful flower patterns.

During the 1940s, floral dresses became the most popular trend.  Looking back to that time, it’s impossible not to picture women without their wavy curls, pearl earrings, and flower printed frocks.   How Retro says that “As fashion seasons come and go, floral dresses rise and fall in popularity yet have remained a constant in women's clothes.”  The delicate qualities of the flower makes wearing a floral print seem truly feminine.

“This season is all about the power of flower print,” announced Jovani in their recent newsletter.  Runway trends are all about pastel and neon colors, with “garden-inspired” prints being used in new and unique ways.  Whether you’re looking for a casual dress, or something more formal, you’ll be able to find a floral dress for the occasion.  Pick an accent color from one of the flowers to match your accessories and makeup, and your outfit will be a hit.  It looks like this classic style is here to stay!
