We also love the short look because it's so perfect for those that are obsessed with shoes. With this look, make sure to find the perfect statement heels to wear with your outfit. To complete your look, try moisturizing your lovely stems with some shimmery liquid bronzing lotion!

  • Dress of the Week: Sherri Hill 21168 with Kendall Jenner

Our Dress of the Week for this week is Sherri Hill high-low dress 21168 because we absolutely love the way Kendall Jenner looks in it! Kendall and Kylie are the faces of Sherri Hill for Prom 2013, so it's no surprise to see Kendall rocking a Sherri Hill dress. But, we especially love the style and color of this dress on her! It shows off her beauty so perfectly.

She's been seen rocking the dress in everywhere from photo shoots to the runway. Check out some of our favorite pictures of her in the dress below!

Sherri Hill 21168 has thin straps that lead to a sweetheart bodice that is coated in glittering jewels and shimmering sequin adornments. The criss-cross detailing on the bodice makes for a figure flatting look. Kendall is always seen wearing the white/gold color, but it also comes in aqua/gold, black/gold, light blue/gold, nude/silver, pink/gold, and strawberry/gold.

What do you think of the dress? Would you wear it? Leave us a comment below!

  • What to Wear to a Sweetheart Dance

Valentine's Day time of course also means it's Sweetheart Dance time! Having trouble figuring out what to wear to your Sweetheart Dance? Since it's an event to celebrate Valentine's Day, we recommend picking a red or pink dress. Purple or white are also great colors to choose if you want to show some Valentine's Day love but don't like the traditional red or pink. If those four hues don't work for you, black is always a staple color that you can wear to any event!

As far as the type of dress goes, choose a strapless/sleeveless cocktail dress. You can either go with the traditional fitted cocktail dress, or choose one that flares out at the waist for a more flowy look. We picked out our favorite Valentine's Day dresses for a Sweetheart Dance below and put them into a cute Polyvore set to give you some ideas on what to wear! You can also click here for more Valentine's Day dresses.

    2. Sherri Hill - A sexy beaded short cocktail dress from Sherri Hill that screams Valentine's Day! Best of all, since it's a classic fitted cocktail dress, there's a number of occasions this dress can be worn to.
    3. Jovani style 74156 - A classy cocktail dress with a lace overlay. With lace being such a popular trend right now, you can never go wrong showing off your keen fashion sense with this number!

Whatever dress you choose, we're sure you'll look like a true sweetheart at your Sweetheart Dance!

  • Best Dressed Celebrities of 2012

The new year is finally here, and while that means looking ahead at what's to come, it also means reflecting on the year that's past. Of course, with our love for fashion, we've been looking back at some of the best dressed celebrities of 2012! We loved Lucky Magazine's list of their 25 best dressed stars because they included our favorite 4 in their picks. Check out our best dressed celebrities below and how you can get their look for your next formal event!

Jennifer Lawrence rocked some very fashionable outfits througout her Hunger Games promo tour - they even earned her a gig as the next face of the Miss Dior handbag! Our favorite dress was the one she wore to the Hollywood premiere - a Prabal Gurung gold cut-out gown. The gown reminded us of the shiny outfits the contestants wore during the Opening Ceremonies of the Hunger Games. If you want to be the star of your prom, check out Faviana style 7182 - a foil jersey mermaid style evening gown with mesh cut-out details.

Taylor Swift had a great year of fashion, from her casual looks, to being on the cover of Glamour, to dressing up in sparkly gowns at award shows. She's relatively consistent with her outfits, but she always looks so perfect, how can anyone complain?? We especially loved the nude gown with red floral embellishments that she wore to the CMA Awards show because of its elegance. If you want a similar look, try Sherri Hill style 21016 - a gorgeous strapless sweetheart high low gown with lace overlay.

This soulful singer is always dressing in glittering gowns and cinched-waist skirts that suit her beautiful voice. We love that Lana Del Rey paired dark red lipstick and her long brown hair with this sparkly silver dress - she looks so glam! Get a similar look with the dress Night Moves style 6755 - an all-over sequin gown with matte and shiny sequins. The strapless bodice is accented with a beaded band at the waistline for a more fitted look.

Jessica Chastain recently came into the spotlight for her role as a CIA analyst in the film Zero Dark Thirty. Even though she has a tough character to play in the film, she's been looking nothing less than gorgeous on the red carpet. Lucky Magazine says that Jessica tends to wear "feminine A-line silhouettes, well-placed sequins, and lovely lace." We definitely see all of that in our favorite champagne colored dress that she wore! If you'd like a similar look for prom, check out Primavera style 9490 - a gown with uniquely crafted sequins in a cross diamond pattern with a super sexy criss-cross low back.

  • Miss USA Wins Miss Universe 2012!

We're so happy and proud that our very own Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, was crowned Miss Universe 2012 this past Wednesday (Dec 19th)! She looked so incredibly beautiful, and we can't believe that the USA finally has the crown again after 15 years! Olivia beat out 88 competitors to take the crown!

Olivia is 20 years old and is currently a sophmore at Boston University. It's so impressive that she's juggling college while competing in such difficult pageants - really shows you what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it!

During the preliminaries, when Olivia was named one of the final 16 contestants, she donned a purple Sherri Hill  bandage mini-dress (style 2932). During the final competition night on Wednesday, Olivia wore a tight navy blue mini-dress with a sequin bodice on stage for the event's opening number. For the swimsuit portion of the competition, she wore a purple and blue bikini. At the end of the event, she looked gorgeous in a wintery red velvet gown with a plunging neckline.

There were also so many other beautiful ladies and dresses at the event - it must of been hard to be a judge and pick the winner! A lot of the women were wearing some of our favorite dress designers - Sherri Hill, Mac Duggal, and Tony Bowls! Check out some of the dresses below.

The contestants all looked so pretty when they were wearing the Sherri Hill bandage dresses at the preliminaries. You can see Miss USA all the way to the left in her purple dress.

A lot of the contestants were wearing Mac Duggal dresses! Below are some of the contestants in their beautiful MacDuggal gowns - clockwise from top left: Costa Rica, Nazareth Cascante; Great Britain, Holly Hale; Jamaica, Chantal Zaky; Slovak Republic, Lubica Stepanova; Peru, Nicole Faveron; Ghana, Gifty Ofori.

Miss Tanzania, Winfrida Dominic (left); Miss New Zealand, Talia Bennet (middle); and Miss Ghanna, Gifty Ofori (right), all looked gorgeous in Tony Bowls dresses!

  • Dressing Up for Thanksgiving Dinner

Halloween is officially over, and we're now in our first week of November - that means the next holiday coming up is Thanksgiving!

Dressing up for Thanksgiving all depends on what type of Thanksgiving dinner the host has put together; some have very casual dinners (where you can wear jeans...or even sweatpants if you're just staying home!), but others have a more formal dinner (and by "more formal," we just mean a little more dressed up than normal, versus an actual formal event, like prom). If you're going to a more dressy dinner, it's good to look nice, but no need to go over the top. Read on for some of our tips on finding the right outfit for a more dressy Thanksgiving dinner.

Since it's Thanksgiving, a more comfortable option is to go with a stretchy or loose fitting dress (like a tunic dress). You'll be glad you chose this type of dress while eating all the food that comes along with the holiday (especially since they hide the tummy)! Two of our favorite more loose fitting dresses are from Shail K. - styles KK3143 and KK3149.

Style KK3143 is a Grecian style flowy dress that comes in colors red and black - both colors are perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner! Style KK3149 is a tunic dress that can be worn with leggings for a more casual look or with stockings to dress it up. It comes in colors black and ivory, however we recommend going with black for Thanksgiving (you'll see why below!).

Another important thing to keep in mind with this holiday surrounded by eating is the potential to drop the food on your clothes. Whether you tend to be a very clumsy person or not, it's inevitable that something will be spilled during the night. Because of this, we recommend picking dark colors or prints that will hide any gravy, stuffing, or cranberry sauce that may find its way onto you. Going with a white or light colored dress may leave you showing off your dinner, rather than your fashionable outfit; with Thanksgiving being in Fall, the darker colors are part of the festive vibe of the holiday, anyway. Scroll down to see some more darker colored dresses that are perfect for Thanksgiving.

    Jovani 171150 comes in black
Mac Duggal 76171R comes in colors red & black
Sherri Hill 1522 comes in colors black, red, ivory, navy, nude, & plum
Evenings by Allure A365 comes in chocolate & is on sale for only $39.99!

  • Accessorizing Your Formal Dress for Halloween

Halloween is a great excuse for you to go over the top. But why buy a costume when you can use an outfit from your closet...or get those clothes you've been wanting? Just by adding a few accessories to your favorite dress, you can instantly be part of the Halloween spirit and have the dress to wear again any time of the year (without the Halloween accessories of course)! Read on to see how we added some accessories to some classic formal dresses to make them ready for Halloween!

    Little Black Dress

You can get great use out of any black dress. This Clarisse black one shoulder hi-lo dress is one of our personal favorites (style 2174). Just add kitty ears, a witch hat, or vampire teeth, and you're all ready for Halloween! The real bonus, though, is that a Little Black Dress can be used for so many different occasions that you'll never run out of places and reasons to wear it.

    Fringe Dress

The fringe dress has been a very popular style lately. The look is taken from the 1920s flapper style, so with this in mind, this type of dress is great to turn into a flapper girl outfit!  This black Mac Duggal fringe cocktail dress (style 3479T) and Touch Ups Peacock high heals are perfect to be a flapper girl.

    White Dress

White formal dresses are always stand-out pieces at any event. For Halloween, just add wings and you can be a beautiful angel! One of our favorite white dresses is the Mac Duggal style 6383N, which has a beautiful  fully sequined top and layered ruffles of chiffon on the skirt. The Sizzle by Coloriffics Inez high heals are a great way to add some extra glitter to the outfit!

    Red Dress

Red dresses are always a sexy choice. And for Halloween, where there's a white dress for an angel, there must also be a red dress for the devil. Turn this La Femme 18110 cocktail dress into a devil by adding horns and a tail.

Pink is always a cute color to go with in a formal dress, especially if you love the classic princess look. And, all of us girls love feeling like princesses when we dress up, right? With this sparkly number from Sherri Hill (style 2308), actually become a princess for Halloween by adding a crown! Or, for another cute look, you can add bunny ears.
