The 88th Academy Awards was certainly a night to remember. Chris Rock kicked off the night with a monologue about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, and Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his Oscar! The actor took home the Lead Actor Oscar for his role in the movie "The Revenant," and had a moving acceptance speech about the dangers of climate change.

Of course, Leo also had his ever ongoing special encounter with Kate Winselt on the red carpet, which never disappoints. They both looked stunning, but they weren't the only ones we were impressed with on the Oscars 2016 red carpet. Our favorite two looks of the night came from Sofia Vergara and Dorith Mous, who both wore elegant gowns that had us dreaming of prom. Sofia wore a beautiful navy blue gown on the Oscars red carpet that's not only so perfect for a black tie event like the Oscars, but is so prom reminiscent. The deep sweetheart neckline and ruched waist accentuated the actress' curves perfectly. The 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards was held on November 10, 2011at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada! Vegas aside, the title of this post should have been "HOT, HOT, HOT" because it was by far the sexiest and biggest night for the Latin Music Industry. And we've got the pictures to prove it! Modern Family's Sofia Vergara, Pop Icon Shakira, and Avatar's Zoe Saldana all shimmered and shined in metallic gowns. Check out these famous ladies, who all hale from Columbia, as they donned their Red Carpet looks on the Green Carpet!

Notice anything similar amongst their choices? Glitter, sequins, stones and beading make for Evening Gown Glamour! Unique and intricate embellishments and skin tone flattering colors, all chose a more fitted, figure enhancing cut! Rather than shy away from their curves, they embraced them! Totally fierce and exactly what the world needs more of!

So in true Gloria fashion (if you  haven't seen Modern Family, you're not living), I turned to my inner Latina. I scoured Rissy Roo's and found that Sherri Hill offers some sleek and sultry styles of their own, guaranteed to give you the confidence of these stunning stars! (I also threw in a Shakira inspiration for my Ball Gown girls!)

Last Sunday, the stars graced the Red Carpet at the 2011 SAG Awards and they did not disappoint.  While nudes and blushes were chosen by many, thankfully we had some head turning, eye-popping color from a few of our favorite leading ladies!  Two of televisions funniest chose colorful gowns! ABC’s Modern Family star Sofia Vergara had two big wins; One for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy and the other for a knockout with Cavalli’s flawless ruching and curve enhancing royal jewel-toned gown! NBC’s 30 Rock genius, (this show is always up for awards come SAG season) Tina Fey was the talk of the night in her fitted and strapless red Oscar de la Renta gown!

Lead Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) also turned to Oscar de la Renta, choosing an off the runway electric (HOT) pink hit! This dress screamed “Check me out!” The color was something rarely seen on Red Carpets! Young and fun...LOVES IT! Kim Kardashian wore a gorgeous deep purple Marchesa gown... her usual one-shoulder gown (typical) yet threw everyone for a loop with her untypical and toned down hair and make up! Oh Kimmy, you kill us!

Bright, bold and brilliant color choices ladies… you're all winners (except for Kim K. who sadly will have to wait for Outstanding Performance by a Reality T.V. star to get picked up as a SAG category).
