Although they’re not as glitzy as The Oscars, the Teen Choice Awards always bring best dressed celebrities out for a night of fun.  This year’s stars were no exception, strutting their stuff on the purple carpet at last night’s Teen Choice awards.

Selena Gomez celebrated her birthday last night in a pink, Dsquared2 short dress paired with cream Herve Leger heels, while Carly Rae Jepsen’s outfit would leave most calling her definitely!  Glee star Lea Michele looked amazing in her Versace dress with matching heels and we’re telling the truth when we say that Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale really rocked her bright Wes Gordon dress.

Although most critics are still debating whether or not Demi Lovato's Falguni + Shane Peacock dress was a hit or a miss, we give her credit for picking such a unique frock!  Taylor Swift certainly takes the crown though for her breathtaking ensemble, a stunning Maria Lucia Hohan gown with Prada Heels.

Katy Perry’s new concert documentary, Part of Me, hits theaters nationwide today.  The 3D movie chronicles the pop singer’s life on and off-stage throughout her last world tour.  People magazine reports, “In the film, Perry opens up about her split from Russell Brand at the end of last year.”  Although celebrities are always in the media, it’s not often that their true personal stories are able to be shared.  In Katy Perry: Part of Me, fans will be able to identify with the singer, as a person who is not only a superstar, but just like them.

Perry has said, “It’s important to be relatable and normal.”  Although she loves creating out-of-this-world outfits and over-the-top dresses, she still wants everyone to know that she is a regular person too.  Some of the footage in her new film is hard for the singer to watch, since she remembers the rough time she was going through while breaking up with Brand.  She invites audiences to “be a part of her” as they watch the movie and get to see a bit of what her life is really like.

Miley Cyrus hit the red carpet with fiancé Liam Hemsworth for the Australian’s in Film Awards, last night in California.  Cyrus, known to shock more conservative crowds with her style choices, wore a little black dress that has been causing some controversy!  The garb in question wasn’t your typical LBD, but a tightly fitted number with a bra-top.

NY Daily News reported that lately, the singer has been making headlines for her intense dieting and risqué outfits, highlighting her new thin frame.  While many fashion-savvy, like the Huffington Post, love Miley’s chic cocktail dress, there are still others who find it a bit too revealing.   The Insider joked that “Although she's never been a model of decency in the past, you have to wonder if her wedding dress will simply consist of lace pasties at this rate.”

Cyrus’ little bra dress might have been revealing, but its shock factor was defiantly moderate compared to other dresses this celeb has worn.  She wore a cleavage accentuating V-neck dress to the Billboard Music Awards this year and has shown skin in many other skimpy outfits during music videos and stage performances.  The “is that a bra?” dress might be a bit out of the ordinary, but some are giving it the thumbs up.  What do you think, too revealing, or totally chic?
