  • Winona Forever: A Fashion Flashback To The Style Icon

Ninety's fashion has made a huge comeback this year, seeing celebs like Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid rocking those ever famous 90s style chokers and goth inspired looks. We certainly can't complain, especially since the 1990s seem to be making a comeback in a huge way well beyond fashion. Just yesterday, sequels to 1990s popular movies The Blair Witch Project and Trainspotting were announced, and one of our all-time favorite actresses who we've been waiting patiently to take over the spotlight once again has done just that: Winona Ryder! The popular 1990s actress who was famous for Tim Burton movies like Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice, as well as Girl, Interrupted, is finally back in the limelight in a big way in Netflix's newest sci-fi series Stranger Things.

With the comeback of both Winona and 90s fashion, we wanted to give a fashion flashback to some of the formal outfits that made Winona that 1990s fashion icon she's become known for. After all, as Vice noted in their article "The Timeless Appeal of Winona Ryder, Hollywood's Eternal Outsider," Winona was "the cult face of the 90s." See four of our favorite outfits below, and of course how you can take a cue from them for a perfect fall Homecoming look.

Winona wore that classic goth look in a totally elegant way, wearing a black v-neck dress, a worn-in leather jacket, black hair, and dark red lips. Of course, you can never go wrong with Johnny Depp on your shoulder! • 5 Perfect Dresses For A Thanksgiving Dinner Party

Thanksgiving is almost here! As of today, you're 10 days away from delicious Thanksgiving food. Which, of course, also means that it's time to put together that perfect outfit for your Thanksgiving dinner party. Whether attending your own family dinner, your significant other's dinner, or a friend's, you'll want to be dressed for the occasion.

Most Thanksgiving dinners are pretty casual, but some can be more dressy, so make sure to find out the dress code ahead of time. If you'd like to go with a nice pair of jeans or pants and sweater, last week we showed you our 5 favorite sweaters for holiday parties (or gift giving!). Rocking a dress is always a go-to option, as well, though, so today we're showing our our 5 favorite dresses for a thanksgiving dinner (which are of course also perfect for any other holiday party you may have coming up). These dresses are all conservative enough for a family dinner, while still being so on-trend. Check them out below!

    Lace Fit And Flare Dress

    Long Sleeve Lace Mini Dress

Black lace is always a staple for the holidays, and we love it in this Long Sleeve Lace Mini Dress. This lace dress features a sexy illusion back, long sleeves, and a v-neck with a keyhole. The long sleeves makes this dress so perfect for the colder fall and winter months. This dress also comes in the color Ivory if you'd like to rock the Winter White trend.

    Crochet Fit and Flare Dress

    Crochet Black Dress

This Beautiful Crochet Mini Dress is similar to the first lace mini dress, but with a crochet look instead of lace. The sexy, yet classy style features a crochet bodice, a-line waist and long illusion sleeves. This dress also comes in red if you're looking for a more bold color.

    Winter White Dress

    Shail K 3665

You can also rock long sleeves in a white dress with Shail K. 3665, a 3/4 sleeve mini that's truly a piece of art. The fun beaded design sets this dress apart giving it a stylish, lively, one of a kind look that's so easy to dress up for a more formal part or down for a more casual dinner.

    Red Lace Cocktail Dress

    Alyce 4416

Red, green, and blue are always staple color choices for the holidays if you want a brighter look. We especially love Alyce 4416 because it's a classic cocktail dress look that will never go out of style. From its v-cut neckline, open back, and rhinestones sprinkled upon the sheer lace sheath over linking, this dress is sure to be a crowd pleaser no matter what the event. You can easily add a cardigan over this dress for a Thanksgiving dinner, and drop the cardigan for some night time fun. This dress also comes in colors Black/Nude, Blue Coral/Nude, Burgundy/Nude, and Deep Plum/Nude, all perfect colors for any holiday event.

    Classic LBD

    Sherri Hill 32006

While the first two dresses we mentioned are great black dress choices, if you want a more classic form fitting LBD, go with Sherri Hill 32006, a short jersey and lace dress. This totally versatile dress features cap sleeves, lace bodice, a v-neckline, and a stretch fitted jersey body. This is definitely a dress that you can easily wear time and time again, from Fall and Winter right into Spring and Summer.

Whatever you end up wearing for your Thanksgiving dinner, have a wonderful time hanging out with your family and friends!

  • A Chic Halloween Black Cat Look You'll Love!

Halloween is less than two weeks away, and with today being the 2nd to last Manicure Monday before Halloween is here, we have more Halloween inspired looks for you! Last week, we showed you an easy way to get a vampire or witch look with a little black dress, and today we have more LBD Halloween ideas for you! Read on to get a totally cute Halloween black cat look!

Sherri Hill 21156 Black Cat Halloween Look

This so chic black cat look matches Sherri Hill style 21156 in black with Baylee by Sizzle pumps in black. Sherri Hill style 21156 is a one-of-a-kind dress that features a strapless design, sweetheart neckline, and low back style. The fitted bodice is embellished with elegantly designed with beads and sequin embellishments. Baylee by Sizzle is a beaded platform pump with all over jewels and sparkle. All that's needed to finish the black cat look are cute cat ears, cat eye glasses (and cat eye makeup!), and a cat inspired manicure.

This entire look was inspired by the cute manicure idea we saw above, created by lifeisbetterpolished. We've been getting in the Halloween mood here at Rissy Roo's by trying out cute Halloween inspired looks for Manicure Monday today, and we thought this one was just so chic! Purple is a great color to rock to show your Halloween spirit if you don't like the traditional orange and black colors. And, of course, you can never go wrong with a little bit (or a lot) of sparkle!

Of course, there might be another Halloween look you think of when it comes to Sherri Hill style 21156... a vampire! Last year, we created a DIY Vampire Makeup Tutorial and used this dress to finish off the look. Either way, you'll look super chic for Halloween, and it's one of our favorite dresses to rock for Homecoming and Prom, too!
