From New York to Paris...from Candy Land to Alice and Wonderland...prom themes are now out of this world! With the help of Seventeen Magazine, we listed below this year's most popular themes. They're sure to get everyone in fiesta mode!

    Casino

    The casino theme is ideal for students who want something different from just dancing. Adding table games and slot machines gives everyone something to do! To complete the theme, you can recreate Vegas by adding lots of flashing lights. Channel your inner Vegas show girl by wearing lots of sparkle, like the sequin dress below.     Prom is a not only one of a girl’s most important nights of her high school years, but it is a night she will want to remember for the rest of her life. The theme of the prom is important because it gives you and your classmates the opportunity to escape the reality and stress of every day teen life, including picking the right college, homework, SATS, parents, relationships and so much more. Prom is a night to enjoy yourselves and with your friends and for the seniors, it’s an exciting conclusion to your high school days!

    Here’s a list of 2012’s most popular prom themes:

    • A Mystical Evening: Live a night in fantasy. Decorations could include: Forest, Fog, Unicorns, and Fairies.  Dresses in greens, browns, purples, blues, and bright pinks will make for a dream-like evening.
    • Jungle: Welcome to the jungle! This theme consists of trees, plants, giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, snakes, monkeys, parrots, etc.  Leopard and zebra print dresses will really help you play the part!
