According to the Washington Post, Summer Solstice (today, June 21) is defined as "... the longest daylight period and shortest night of the year, and the noontime sun angle reaches its maximum height." Longest day? Shortest night? (shouldn't I be at the beach?!) Regardless... let the summer fun begin! Escape from the heat this summer by putting your best party dress forward! Fergie kept it "G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S" at the 2011 FiFi Awards on May 25 in NYC! For all of you confused, G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S was a #1 single for Fergie as a solo artist (a must download) and the FiFi Awards are the Oscars of the fragrance industry! Performances may have been hot at last night’s 2011 Billboard Music Awards (I mean did you see B?), but the Red Carpet was aflame!  Looking for a Red Carpet look? Take a page from Queen B, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Kelly Rowland! They were bringing the noise in more ways than one!  Check out the sizzling songstresses and their Billboard’s choice.  Award winning or not, they were all on top!

Sophisticated in her long sleeve stretch Lanvin pre-performance, Beyonce, who later gave a killer performance with her new single “Who Run the World”, was presented with the Millennium Award for her career achievements (thus far, because you know she won’t quit!). Go B, Go!  BFF Kelly Rowland looked HOT  in her fuchsia Max Azria mini.  Destiny’s Child reunion, pleaseeeee!? In a stunning sequin blush Ellie Saab, Taylor Swift continued her run, earning Top Country Artist and Top Billboard 200.  She was also nominated for Top Artist and Top Billboard Album nominee.  Presenter Selena Gomez rocked in Dolce and Gabbana (her boy Bieber<3 had a BIG night, taking home an armful of awards and matching in D&G… if that isn’t love, I don’t know what is!) So they looked great, right? Well so can you! Dress like these stars! Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and better known to the world as Prince Williams’s new bride Kate, has been hitting the newsstands hard in the recent months… what, her wedding is kind of a big deal! We love that England is making a Royal comeback but let's get real... it's not the hats! It's thanks in part to Kate and her sister Pippa’s striking dress choices at the Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011!  The world waited on edge for the first glimpse of Kate in her wedding dress and she did not disappoint...elegance and beauty, a picture perfect fairy tale!

Pippa looked amazing in her figure hugging, V-neck white stunner - which was simple from the front and everything but when the paparazzi caught a glimpse of the dress back!

Last Sunday, the stars graced the Red Carpet at the 2011 SAG Awards and they did not disappoint.  While nudes and blushes were chosen by many, thankfully we had some head turning, eye-popping color from a few of our favorite leading ladies!  Two of televisions funniest chose colorful gowns! ABC’s Modern Family star Sofia Vergara had two big wins; One for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy and the other for a knockout with Cavalli’s flawless ruching and curve enhancing royal jewel-toned gown! NBC’s 30 Rock genius, (this show is always up for awards come SAG season) Tina Fey was the talk of the night in her fitted and strapless red Oscar de la Renta gown!

Lead Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) also turned to Oscar de la Renta, choosing an off the runway electric (HOT) pink hit! This dress screamed “Check me out!” The color was something rarely seen on Red Carpets! Young and fun...LOVES IT! Kim Kardashian wore a gorgeous deep purple Marchesa gown... her usual one-shoulder gown (typical) yet threw everyone for a loop with her untypical and toned down hair and make up! Oh Kimmy, you kill us!

Bright, bold and brilliant color choices ladies… you're all winners (except for Kim K. who sadly will have to wait for Outstanding Performance by a Reality T.V. star to get picked up as a SAG category).
