The 2013 Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmys were last night, Sunday September 22nd, and they were full with so many talented actors and actresses! We were glued to the TV watching all of the awards being announced, but of course, first and foremost is the red carpet for us Roo Girls!

There were so many stunning gowns on this year's red carpet that our verdict is still out on which were our favorites. But, there was one trend that we noticed the celebrities wearing that we're already obsessing over: elegant gowns in electric blue and royal purple! So many of the ladies wore solid colored gowns in one of these bold colors. With the first day of Fall having landed yesterday, everyone must be getting in the mood for darker Fall and Winter colors! Last Sunday, the stars graced the Red Carpet at the 2011 SAG Awards and they did not disappoint.  While nudes and blushes were chosen by many, thankfully we had some head turning, eye-popping color from a few of our favorite leading ladies!  Two of televisions funniest chose colorful gowns! ABC’s Modern Family star Sofia Vergara had two big wins; One for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy and the other for a knockout with Cavalli’s flawless ruching and curve enhancing royal jewel-toned gown! NBC’s 30 Rock genius, (this show is always up for awards come SAG season) Tina Fey was the talk of the night in her fitted and strapless red Oscar de la Renta gown!

Lead Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) also turned to Oscar de la Renta, choosing an off the runway electric (HOT) pink hit! This dress screamed “Check me out!” The color was something rarely seen on Red Carpets! Young and fun...LOVES IT! Kim Kardashian wore a gorgeous deep purple Marchesa gown... her usual one-shoulder gown (typical) yet threw everyone for a loop with her untypical and toned down hair and make up! Oh Kimmy, you kill us!

Bright, bold and brilliant color choices ladies… you're all winners (except for Kim K. who sadly will have to wait for Outstanding Performance by a Reality T.V. star to get picked up as a SAG category).
