The 88th Academy Awards was certainly a night to remember. Chris Rock kicked off the night with a monologue about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, and Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his Oscar! The actor took home the Lead Actor Oscar for his role in the movie "The Revenant," and had a moving acceptance speech about the dangers of climate change.
Of course, Leo also had his ever ongoing special encounter with Kate Winselt on the red carpet, which never disappoints. They both looked stunning, but they weren't the only ones we were impressed with on the Oscars 2016 red carpet. Our favorite two looks of the night came from Sofia Vergara and Dorith Mous, who both wore elegant gowns that had us dreaming of prom. Sofia Vergara on the Oscars 2016 Red Carpet
Sofia wore a beautiful navy blue gown on the Oscars red carpet that's not only so perfect for a black tie event like the Oscars, but is so prom reminiscent. The deep sweetheart neckline and ruched waist accentuated the actress' curves perfectly. We also loved that she had her hair pulled back - it really allowed the sparkly jewels and beautiful deep color of the dress stand out.
