  • Payton Rae's Music Video Gone Girl is Filmed by ALYCE Paris!

Payton Rae, the 18-year-old country music star whose global fan base has generated over 13 million YouTube hits for her music and videos, is onto her next project! Gone Girl, a four-song EP of original music, is scheduled for release on December 17, and she's already released her newest song from the album: Gone Girl. It's a fun song that's definitely full of girl power - check it out:

Payton Rae is the face of ALYCE Paris, so of course our favorite part of the video was seeing the brand new ALYCE Paris dresses that she was wearing in the video! And, we especially loved that part of her video consisted of walking the ALYCE Paris runway!

In the runway scenes, she wore Claudine for ALYCE style 2311, a short dress that has a beaded bustier illusion waist bodice with large stones on the waistband and a metal fabric skirt. Definitely very rocker chick, just like Payton!

Claudine for Alyce 2311In some of the other scenes, Payton wore ALYCE Paris style 4370, a beaded tulle cocktail dress with deep V-Neck and open back. It's such a perfect look for the Holidays!

That's not all from Payton and ALYCE Paris, though! Along with the new song and EP, Payton will be going on a tour that's sponsored by ALYCE Paris, named after her new song, "Gone Girl." The tour will kick off in Chicago on Jan 20; stops in Boston, Columbus, OH, and Augusta, SC will take place, with additional cities (and further details about the tour) announced at PaytonRaeMusic.com. So, keep a look-out for when Payton will be stopping by your town!

  • ROAR like Katy Perry in Mac Duggal 6399N!

Do you love Katy Perry's song "Roar" as much as we do? The song is so catch that it's hard not to love it! If you haven't heard the song or watched the video yet, give it a watch here:

    http://youtu.be/CevxZvSJLk8

The beautifully bright colored forest the "Roar" music video is shot in got us thinking of how popular the color green has been over the past year! Designers are including that beautiful forest green color in so many of their collections, and it especially reminded us of the daring green Mac Duggal dress style 6399N!

Katy Perry RoarMac Duggal - 6399N

Mac Duggal 6399NDemure yet daring, this short cocktail dress is an ideal dress for Homecoming or Prom. The asymmetrical draping has a dressy look and feel while the ruffled tiers of chiffon give the homecoming dress a fun and flirty feel. It has gathered chiffon on the bodice and waist, and ruffled chiffon on the skirt with a rhinestone pendant on the center front. The beaded straps gives it the perfect extra touch of glam!

Whether you wear this dress at Prom or Homecoming, the color and style of the dress will sure to leave on-lookers green with envy!

  • Miley: The Movement MTV Documentary

This is the Week (and month) of Miley Cyrus! Just a few days ago, her new album, Bangerz, was made available on iTunes for free streaming, and last night was the premiere of her MTV documentary Miley: The Movement. All we have to say, is we watched it and LOVED it.

    Miley-Cyrus-The-Movement-MTV-documentary

The documentary gave such great insight into this pivotal moment in her life and career, where she is trying to re-shape her sound and image. She talks about what it's like growing up as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and having music in her blood, and what that means for her moving forward. It also goes into great detail depicting what went into putting together her controversial VMA performance.

We especially loved her response to all the hype that came from the performance. Here's some of our favorite parts from her comments:

"You're always going to make people talk; you might as well make them talk for like two weeks. We've been laughing about all of the news because everyone's so serious...If I really wanted to come out as a raunchy sex show, I wouldn't have been dressed up as a damn bear."

So true! Another comment of hers that we loved was:

"I feel lucky that I don't have to fit in...If you can't express yourself, you're not very free."

We can definitely agree with that! Miley is definitely being herself, and that is something to be proud of.

If you didn't get to catch the premiere last night, there will be many re-runs on MTV. They will also be showing a special 90 minute version with extra footage this coming Sunday, October 6th, so don't miss out! You can watch the trailer here:

  • Stream Miley Cyrus’ New ‘Bangerz’ Album for Free!

Snippets of Miley Cyrus' new album, entitled Bangerz, have been dropping all weekend, and now the whole album is streaming for FREE on iTunes! The album was made available to stream on September 30th, 4 days before the album will be available in stores to purchase.

    Miley Cyrus Bangerz

The album definitely shows Miley leaving behind her Disney Channel Hannah Montana days and connection to her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, as a country singer, but we're totally loving it! From her VMAs performance to her new "Wrecking Ball," music video, there's certainly been a lot of hype surrounding her new "bad girl" image. And, to answer all the ridicule, Miley said in the MTV documentary Miley: the Movement, "I just needed to let go of the past in a way, so I felt like I could be the bad b---h I am." All we can say is rock on to that!

In conjunction with Mike WiLL Made It as the partial producer of the album, Miley has a completely new sound, so it's great to get to listen to it before the album hits stores. It's an emotionally driven album, with Miley already revealing that one song, "Drive," was written during a difficult time. She told FASHION Magazine, "I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day. Emotionally it was such a hard time. It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It’s a time when you want to leave but you can’t. It's about moving on."

Here’s the full list of the songs on the Bangerz album:

    1. “Adore You”
    2. “We Can’t Stop”
    3. “SMS (Bangerz),” featuring Britney Spears

    5. “My Darlin’,” featuring Future
    6. “Wrecking Ball”

  • Our New Fave Indie Pop Band: Dresses!

We love dresses at Rissy Roo's, so of course we're obsessing over the new indie pop band that has the very namesake of our favorite piece of clothing! The band Dresses is only made up of two people, Timothy and Jared, a couple from Portland.

    Dresses the band

Their songs are infectious indie-pop tunes that will have you wanting to get up and dance (in dresses, of course). Their first big hit is for song "Sun Shy," a fun, catchy tune that frontlady Timothy Heller is of course wearing a cute dresses in!

Check out their hit single here:

Want to learn more about the band? Teen Vogue caught up with the Timothy, the leading lady, to talk all about Dresses, how her and her boyfriend met, and what music she's loving right now. Our favorite part of the interview with Teen Vogue was hearing who influences her.

"Just listening to the female singers that I look up to is inspiring when I'm writing music. I try to channel my role models, and I can tell it makes me write better music and definitely influences what it sounds like."

    Girl power all the way!

  • Avril Lavigne Looking Pretty at Prom in "Here's To Never Growing Up"

Avril Lavigne recently came out with a new single called "Here's to Never Growing Up," and we're loving not only the song, but the video, too! The song's all about having fun, and the video is set at a senior prom, so we automatically fell in love!

    Check out the video below:

    http://youtu.be/sXd2WxoOP5g

When it comes to prom, of course Avril still doesn't lose her punk rock look. We love the short light blue dress she wore in the video - it matched her eyes so perfectly!

    Avril-Lavigne---Heres-to-Never-Growing-Up-Music-Video

For a similar look to Avirl's short prom dress look, we love Sherri Hill style 21156. It's one of Sherri Hill's newest styles that's not only perfect for prom, but homecoming, too! The grey accenting, paired with lace and jewel detailing is so punk that it couldn't be any more Avril Lavigne inspired! It also comes in dark red and navy colors that are super punk, too.

We are especially oogling over Avril's new single and video, though, because it looks like she's taking a step back to her roots! The music video reminded us of when she first came onto the scene 11 years ago as the punk rock princess that everyone came to love her for. The video was full of people spraying graffiti, a group crashing a pool in their prom outfits, and wrecking the school with chairs flying, confetti everywhere, and of course Avril on her skateboard.

Welcome back, Avril! We can't wait to hear more songs from your new album!
