With the 2017 Prom Season now over, the pictures and videos have been pouring in of our customers in their gorgeous prom dresses. From totally glam styles to classic looks, our Roo Girls all looked so gorgeous in their dresses. The latest pictures that we want to share with you were sent in by Danyelle Chere Jackson of her daughter, Mikhaela Jackson, in her prom gown. Danyelle shared a video and so many pretty pictures with us, and said:

"Thanks to the young lady that helped me find this dress for my princess Mikhaela! She and Braxton stunned at their Senior Prom. My sales rep was so awesome and she went beyond her job to find this dress for me! She called back numerous times to help me and that's why I ordered the dress from you instead of another location in Florida!!!! I am forever grateful for her! I cannot remember her name but she ROCKS!!!!... please send my thanks."

Mikhaela is from Cartersville, GA and attended the Cass High Senior Prom this past April with her prom date Braxton. The couple certainly couldn't have looked any cuter together! We loved Mikhaela's golden sparkly dress paired with her date's white tuxedo - such a perfect combination. Oh, and did you catch Braxton's shiny gold shoes? The couple certainly knew how to bring the style to prom.

Promposals, also known as "prom proposals," have always been a tradition that accompanied the annual high school celebration. The ritual of inviting your date to prom in a unique, fun, romantic, or intricate way has certainly gained in popularity with each passing year. These promposals have, undoubtedly, become more and more elaborate with each new prom season.

A promposal can be as simple, yet still romantic, as just taking your date out to a nice dinner, or make dinner yourself, and have the question incorporated into the desert. Have some creative and artistic skills you're looking to put to use? We love this cute use of car fresheners to create a funny promposal idea! It's a great way to keep the promposal simple and light-hearted.

13) Taco Promposal

Does your date love tacos even more than chicken nuggets? Get a Taco Bell 12 pack, and make a note with the cute message, "Lets 'taco' 'bout prom." It doesn't get much easier than that for a prom proposal! If you know someone who works at a Taco Bell, take this idea to the next level by having the promposal displayed for all to see on the store's signage, like this promposal.

12) Pizza Promposal

Seeing a trend yet? Pairing food and a cute message is such an easy and fun way to pull together a promposal. Grab a pizza, or make one yourself like this heart-shaped pizza, and add a cute message like "you've got a pizza my heart" or "I know this is cheesy, but...prom?" for a prom proposal idea that anyone will want to eat up. We're giving this pizza promposal extra props for being in the share of a heart.

11) Whale Cookie Cake Promposal

We're not done with the food or cute slogan promposals yet! Next up is this cute cookie cake promposal. If you're a baker with an artistic mind, this is such a great idea, especially if your date is an animal lover. Show off your baking skills by making a yummy cookie cake, adding the slogan, "Whale you be my prom date?" to the top of it for a cute, fun-loving promposal. We had to make this our favorite food promposal because of the clear passion that went into baking something like this!

10) Baseball Promposal

Is your date a big sports player or fan? Find a way to incorporate his or her favorite sport into the promposal. This promposal even found a cute way to incorporate the person's position on the team - the team manager! Top off the cute message with a pretty bouquet of flowers to add a little bit of romance.

For another sports promposal idea, this volleyball promposal is so creative and sent in from one of our very own Roo Girls! We couldn't be more impressed with the creativity that went into putting this promposal message together.

8) Dog Promposal

Have a cute pet in your life or in your date's life? Incorporate the lovable creature into your promposal! After all, who can say no to a cute fluffy face like this dog? You can create a cute dog themed promposal with a message like, "Prom would be 'ruff' without you." Most pets can be incorporated into a promposal idea, so don't get stuck if there are no dogs around to help out your mission. Have some fish? Use the message, "Out of all the fish in the sea, will you go to prom with me?" Live on a farm and have a goat? The message could be as easy as "praaaam?"

7) Prom Ring Promposal

Want a really romantic way to ask your date to prom? Find a pretty ring, and include the message "I prom?se." Not only will they get a promposal to remember, but they'll get a promise ring that they can keep forever.

6) Ring Pop Promposal

Ask your date to prom with a ring, but keep it light-hearted with a ring pop instead of a real ring! Cute and delicious!

5) Harry Potter Promposal

Is your date a Harry Potter fan? Find a way to incorporate their favorite book and movie series into the promposal with a cute message like, "I'm seeking a prom date and I think you're a keeper." Your date will think you're super cleaver and pay attention to their interests.

4) Makeup Promposal

Does your date love makeup? Steal their heart with this promposal idea and be the highlight of their prom season and prom night. This promposal is in our top 5 because of how unique and creative it is.

3) Guitar Pick Promposal

If your date is a guitarist, put together a a special promposal with a personalized guitar pick. Not only will they have a memento to remember the special day, but they'll see how much you care about and pay attention to their personal interests.

2) Beauty and the Beast Promposal

With the new Disney live action Beauty and the Beast movie released in March, what could be more romantic than a Beauty and the Beast promposal? This idea has become popular long before the initial mention of the movie remake, so there's been many different forms of this promposal through the years. The consistent factor throughout all Beauty and the Beast promposals is using the famous rose. We love the version in the image above, and check out this one for another idea.

1) Prince Charming Promposal

Beauty and the Beast isn't the only classic Disney movie to pull promposal inspiration from. Channel the classic story of Cinderella by asking your date to prom as Prince Charming. Add some amusement to an otherwise more serious and romantic promposal by presenting your date with sneakers rather than heels. The 2017 Prom Season is only just beginning, but we are excited to see that we are already receiving pictures from our customers looking beautiful in their prom dresses! The latest prom photo comes from Debra Phillips, mom of Glenisha Fortenberry. Debra posted a picture to our Facebook page, and said:

"Thanks for making my baby's prom come to life with this beautiful dress!! We loved it!!... She goes to Vicksburg High School in VIcksburg Mississippi..this was her senior prom."

How fierce does Glenisha look? She rocked her prom dress with such style, with bold fuchsia lips, a matching corsage, and elegant black nails. The prom dress that Glenisha chose is Tiffany Designs 46107, a magnificent mermaid gown that has the perfect balance of glam and classic. The beautiful black lace appliqués on this gown are delicately placed over a sheer overlay that makes for such an exquisite look, especially when paired with makeup like Gelnisha chose!

While Glenisha chose bold makeup to compliment her dress, she kept the accessories to a minimum in order to let the beautiful lace and jewels on the dress do all of the talking. She finished off her look with gold high heels for just the right amount of added glam.

With the Prom 2017 season officially here, it's certainly time to start hunting for that perfect prom dress ( and shoes and accessories). There are so many choices, though. Where to begin? Lace? We've recently teamed up with one of their Seventeen Style Pros, Morgan, to get her pick for the best prom dress of the 2017 season.

Last week, we were all about gal celebrities Emma Stone and Jessica Biel at the 2017 Oscars, in their beautiful golden dresses. Of course, they weren't the only gorgeous looks at the Oscars; there were plenty more celebs looking glam from head to toe, from the red carpet to the stage. While we of course loved all of the dresses, we were so stunned to see one of our own prom 2017 dresses hit the Oscars 2017 stage that night!

Do you know what dress... or what dress designer we're referring to? Hint: it was during Justin Timberlake's performance. Still need some help? It was a Sherri Hill dress!

One of Justin's dancers rocked Sherri Hills style 50895 during his Oscars performance, showing off that the dress was certainly created for the dance floor. Of course, who wouldn't look good standing next to Justin? But, we're pretty sure it's the dress giving this dancer a gorgeous glow, in this case. We loved that Justin's dancer paired the dress with black strappy heals. We're also loving the red dancer emoji-esque pose that she's pulling off in the above photo ?! Perfection!

Style 50895 is a bold satin ball gown that features a high illusion plunge neckline, a fitted bodice, and a defined racerback with an exposed zipper and cutouts just above the cinched waistband. It's topped off with a high-low floor-length peplum skirt that adds the perfect amount of volume, and of course flow for the dance floor, with fabric that cascades at the top of the high side-slit, and a short underlay. Comedian Kate McKinnon has been taking the media by storm, through her Ellen DeGeneres and Hilary Clinton impressions on Saturday Night Live to her incredible performance in the Ghostbusters re-boot this year. Through all of her hard work and ability to bring joy and laughter to millions of people, she finally took home her first Emmy award at this year's 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony! She won the 2016 Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Emmy Award.

While everyone is so happy for her win, people can't stop talking about her acceptance speech. She was so surprised that she blurted out, "I'm shaking!" while giving her speech, and even said that she was crying. She gave the normal "thank you's" to family and those who have helped her within the industry. She gave a shout-out to her now deceased father, explaining that he made her start watching SNL when she was 12. She also managed to fit in thanking the two celebrities that helped bring her to fame: Ellen DeGeneres and Hillary Clinton.

The best part? Hillary Clinton responded on Twitter that she's big fans of Kate, and offered her congratulations! She even posted a meme of Kate doing an impression of Mrs. Clinton. Check out the tweet from the presidential nominee below.  Continue reading →

Prom 2016 may be long over, but we still have it on our mind because we're still obsessing over all of the gorgeous prom pictures our customers have been sending our way! One of the latest in prom dress testimonials comes from Noelle Dadon and her mom, Yvette. Noelle attend her prom in early June. Yvette posted the picture on Facebook, and Noelle left us such a nice testimonial on our website.
