We are itching for The Vampire Diaries Season 6 premiere to finally hit! While we love summer time, us Roo Girls seriously can't wait for October 2nd to come already. Season 5 of TVD ended so abruptly that waiting months and months and months for the next season to air has been torture...in the most vampiric way possible, of course! Well, the TVD gods have finally shined down on us by giving us some little tid bits to hold us over until Fall comes: a sneak peek of the Season Six promo photo shoot!

The show's stars shared behind-the-scenes videos and pics from the photo shoot on their Instagrams that are so steamy (literally)! The most exciting news? It looks like Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is in some of the photos and videos...so we can only hope that means he's back for Season 6! Check out the Instagram posts below and decide for yourself whether you think he'll be back in action for the next TVD season.

Pretty awesome pictures and videos, right? You can guess what we loved the most (other than seeing the faces of the hot TVD guys, of course), Nina Dobrev's (Elena on The Vampire Diaries) sexy black cut-out dress! The gown looked so perfect on her - we wish we could see the final photo shoot of her in the dress already! If you want her cut-out look for your next formal event, we're all about Nika style 9041! One Direction made the Internet go crazy yesterday (as usual) when they gave Directioners clues about a big announcement that would be coming soon. After some minor (and by minor, we mean huge) panic attacks, the 1D boys finally revealed what they had in store for their fans! If you're reading this, we're sure you probably already know what the big surprise ended up being...but if you don't...it's that 1D announced the release of their brand new perfume, called "You and I." This is their third perfume, so we're happy to report that there's a brand new one available to continue to smell like our favorite rock stars.

Seventeen Magazine caught up with the boys and got the scoop behind the new perfume from Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. The two boys told Seventeen all about what went into making their latest scent...and even more...like who inspires them when things get a little nuts on the road and what makes a girl sexy.

This was Liam's response to how they chose their latest scent:

"We went through a list of things and found what we liked and what we didn't like - what our girlfriends would wear and stuff, and that's kind of how we got around to it."

And, here's what Louis had to say on naming the perfume "You and I"

"We loved the song, and obviously it's quite personal. [The song] is a personal thing, and it's a personal thing with the fragrance, too - so that was the whole idea behind that. The title was actually the hardest thing for this one!"

One of the most popular award shows is just around the corner, but it isn't the one where big speeches are made and tears are shed. Instead, it is the show of laughs and fun, and where coveted trophies of "Moonmen" are given out. Yes, the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will be on August 24th, and the nominees have officially been announced! This year's nominees include some awesome collaborations, as well as your favorite and pretty expected musicians! We are hoping the show will be a blast, but as far as the nominees go, there are no major surprises, just super hits!

The 2014 VMAs nominees for Best Video of the Year include Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX for "Fancy," Beyoncé ft. JAY Z for "Drunk In Love," Pharrell Williams for "Happy," Sia for "Chandelier," and Miley Cyrus for her outstanding hit "Wrecking Ball."

The top ladies in music who continue to take the world by storm include Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX with her hit "Fancy," which is also nominated for Best Female Video. Iggy is nominated twice in the category for Best Pop Video for "Fancy" and her collaboration with Ariana Grande in "Problem." Ms. Grande is also nominated twice for "Problem" having a shot at Best Female Video as well. Way to go ladies! Beyonce, Lorde, and Katy Perry also join in the category for having nods for Best Female Video! Should be a very close vote in this category and we can't wait to see who the winner is!

One of the more interesting categories announced was for Best Video with a Social Message. We love this category because it honors the artist not only for his or her musical talent, but for spreading a positive word to young people everywhere. The 2014 VMA nominees for this category are Angel Haze ft. SIA with "Battle Cry," Avicii with "Hey Brother," Beyoncé with her song "Pretty Hurts," J. Cole ft. TLC and "Crooked Smile," Kelly Rowland  with "Dirty Laundry," and David Guetta ft. Mikky Ekko with the song "One Voice."

We loved the awesome collaborations that took place this year and we are really looking forward to see which artists will bring home the Moonman for Best Collaboration of the Year. It is tricky when one artist is great, but when they pair up with someone else amazing they really create phenomenal music! Will Ariana Grande ft. Izzy Azalea beat out Katy Perry ft. Juicy J. and "Dark Horse?" Or what about Beyonce ft. Jay Z for "Drunk in Love?" How will we ever tell? All we know is the show is going to be great and we are counting down the days to see the fashion, performances, and unexpected!

All of Hollywood from A-listers to reporters cannot contain themselves with excitement, as the 2014 Emmy season is upon us once again! The Television Academy is pleased to be holding the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will take place on August 25, 2014 8PM/ET on NBC.  The Nominations have officially been announced via webcast by one of our favorite clever cuties, Mindy Kaling, and late-night prince Carson Daly. Were the nominees shocking or were they what we expected? We think the talent speaks for itself!

This was a groundbreaking year for television series, as was mentioned in the opening speech with the usage of new platforms of media such as Netflix. It was obvious in the nominations as "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black" both scored several nominations. "House of Cards," not only is up for Best Drama Series, but also has nominations for Best Actress AND Best Actor in a Drama Series for Robin Penn and Kevin Spacey. Meanwhile, the show everyone cannot stop talking about, "Orange is the New Black," has an impressing 12 nods including one of our favorite blondes, Taylor Schilling up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

The winner of the most nominations was for the daring HBO series, "Game of Thrones," which took an outstanding 19 nominations! One of these includes beautiful Lena Headly (who beat out Emilia Clarke) for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series! Wow!

A trend in several of the nominations was for the newer series. Right behind "Game of Thrones" was the extremely talked about FX series "Fargo," which obtained 18 nods, including Billy Bob Thornton for Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie. Also new in the game and up for props is "True Detective." Nominated for Best Drama Series and Matthew McConaughey for Best Supporting Actor, to name two. One of our favorite newbies for the tech-savvy, HBO's "Silicon Valley" is also nominated for the category of Best Comedy Series!

Of course, the Emmy Awards would be nothing without nominations for the shows we crave to return each season, like "Modern Family" and "Veep," both up for Best Comedy Series, and our favorite funny girls like Lena Dunham of "Girls," Amy Pohler of "Parks & Recreation," and Melissa McCarthy of "Mike & Molly" all nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Even though it said its goodbyes, "Breaking Bad" is still celebrating with nods for Best Drama Series along with Bryan Cranston up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama! We must say, it is an amazing show!

Her curiosity and past experience, along with the girls' passion to create something in their words where "crayola meets Chanel," inspired something huge! These girls are definitely revolutionizing the way we think about and use makeup. Johnathan Kayne has been keeping busy throughout May and June heating up red carpets everywhere! After all of his exciting accomplishments in April, this beloved designer has even more news to share with us on what has been going on in his daily life! His designs are becoming a staple at red carpet appearances, starting with Miss Nevada USA 2013, Hilary Bilings, adorned in a sparkly gold style 436 at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards!

K-Love is the ultimate internet radio for Contemporary Christian Music everywhere, and invited Nashville personality Kelly Sutton and Journalist Donna Vissman to be live on the red carpet to host the event! These gals wore two very unique Johnathan Kayne designs as they interviewed some of the brightest new christian artists!

Most recently, the JK design team put their mark on the red carpet of the 2014 CMT Awards! Named one of CMT's "Next Women of Country," Maggie Rose wore a custom-made Johnathan Kayne by Joshua McKinley gown! Known for her hit album Cut to Impress, Maggie also made it to best dressed lists that night in this black, sexy, one shoulder gown!

This past Sunday night (June 8, 2014), Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady passed on her crown to Nia Sanchez, formerly Miss Nevada, to be crowned the new Miss USA 2014! While all of the contestants were incredible, the Las Vegas 24-year-old wowed the judges and audience through all 3 rounds of the competition: Swimsuit, Evening Gown, and Interview. As Miss USA 2014, she is now the 63rd Miss USA, and there is so much to know about this amazing girl. So, we loved that Parade Magazine simplified it for us with their "5 Things to Know about Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez." Check it out below!

5 Things to Know about Miss USA 2014, Nia Sanchez, from Parade Magazine:

1. She has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do

Nia is one badass girl! The Nevada native is a fourth-degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do. Nia To E!, "I started training when I was 8, and I started teaching when I was 12, and I was a certified instructor when I was 15. It's a good workout. It's a full body workout. I never get more tired working out than when I'm at the studio." And, she sure looks good doing it!

In the final round of the competition, Nia even related it back to learning Tae Kwan Do. When asked about the issue of sexual assault on campus, she explained the importance of self defense for women. She said, "More awareness [of the issue] is very important so that women can learn to protect themselves...I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and able to defend yourself, and I think that's something that we should really start to implement for a lot of women." We couldn't agree more!

 2. She's a Disney Princess!

Aside from wearing the Miss Nevada and now the Miss USA crowns, Nia has worked as a Disney Princess at Hong Kong Disney. Parade said that while there, she spent time dressing up as Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Belle, and Snow White. Check her out as Belle from Beauty and the Beast below!

3. She loves to travel

Nia began as an international traveler when she finished high school and moved to Europe to be a nanny. Since then, she has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia as Miss Nevada. You can follow her on Instagram to see all of the amazing places she's been!

4. She is half Mexican

According to her bio on the Miss USA website, Nia is half Mexican and loves to travel to Mexico on mission trips.

5. She had a tough upbringing

When she was 6 years old, Nia and her mother lived in a women's shelter. The experience has taught her the importance of giving back, and she how works in a shelter. She said, "I can really relate to the women on a personal level because I've been there and I've been through those experiences."

We can't wait to see what our new Miss USA does in her year-long reign! And, we definitely cannot wait for her to compete in Miss Universe 2014 later this year!
