Red, pink, purple, and hearts always have a special place in the fashion world, and they are of course especially on-trend on the sweetest holiday of all - Valentine's Day! With February 14th right around the corner, we picked out some of our favorite on-trend looks that are perfect for showing some V-Day love next week!

The Little Red Dress

February 14th immediately changes the classic Little Black Dress into the Little Red Dress and Little Pink Dress for one special night. Whether you're going on a hot date, or just having a night out with your closest friends, you can never go wrong with wearing a sexy red or pink dress on this day! This La Femme 18110 cocktail dress is made up of fitted stretch net fabric that will be sure to show off your curves.

Love is in the Air

Wearing clothes and accessories that say "Love" on them have been all the rage lately, so they'll definitely be the hot thing to wear on Valentine's Day! We thought this ring was simple, but so cute - a great way to show your love (no pun intended) for the holiday without going overboard. And, once you put it on, you'll probably never want to take it off!

In case you haven't heard, Seventeen Magazine & Carly Rae Jepsen are teaming up for a special Twitter session tonight! As if being the March 2013 Cover Girl of Seventeen Mag isn't enough, Carly will also be answering questions on Twitter tonight (Mon, 2/4/2013), from 9:30-10pm EST.

Seventeen tweeted this morning:

The 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards have come and gone, but we're still obsessing over all the gorgeous Hollywood ladies' red carpet looks! It was a difficult choice because all the celebrities looked amazing, but we could only choose one favorite look, and we're giving it to Nicole Kidman! Navy blue was a popular color at the SAG Awards this year (both Jennifer Lawrence and Amanda Seyfried wore the color, too), but we fell in love with Nicole's stunning sequined number.

That's why for this week's Dress of the Week, we chose Shail K style SK3192L. It's a full length, silk, hand-sequined dress that shines a unique shade of sparkling navy, and elegantly drapes to the floor with a small train to give you that true diva look! We especially love the daring v-neck and bold open back on the dress.

Valentine's Day time of course also means it's Sweetheart Dance time! Having trouble figuring out what to wear to your Sweetheart Dance? Since it's an event to celebrate Valentine's Day, we recommend picking a red or pink dress. Purple or white are also great colors to choose if you want to show some Valentine's Day love but don't like the traditional red or pink. If those four hues don't work for you, black is always a staple color that you can wear to any event!

As far as the type of dress goes, choose a strapless/sleeveless cocktail dress. You can either go with the traditional fitted cocktail dress, or choose one that flares out at the waist for a more flowy look. Whether single or attached, Valentine's Day is right around the corner! With only 2 weeks left until February 14th, it's a perfect time to start planning your outfit. Even if you don't know exactly what you'll be doing yet, unless you'll be attending a formal event, a simple, sexy dress is always a staple go-to choice.

Every woman should obviously choose an outfit that they feel sexy in on this night, but it's also important to find one that you can feel comfortable and confident in. Even if you don't have a hot date, it's still a great night to go out and have some fun with your girlfriends. And, you definitely want to make sure that you'll be making a statement and turning some heads! For this day, don't feel like you need to go all-out with a fancy, sequined outfit like you might wear on New Year's Eve. In general, it's best to go with a simple, classic dress that accentuates your body. It's all about finding a nice balance between fancy and casual for this night out - choosing something that you'd wear to a nice dinner and a movie date is usually a good gauge!

La Femme style 17494 is a perfect choice if you're looking for a pink dress. Amazing and sexy, this short cocktail dress is complete with a V-shaped front and back and has intricate beading all over the bodice. The dress comes in a light pink, blush, color, so you can show some Valentine's Day love without screaming it. While our store's always decked out in pink, we're also a huge fan of the color green here at Rissy Roo's because the local high school's color in the town our store's in (we're right behind the high school!) is green. So, we were of course excited when Pantone named emerald green their color of the year for 2013! A color that's abundant in nature, the lush, vibrant hue is said to instil balance and harmony.

It's the end of the first month of the new year, but the color is already everywhere! Celebrities like Zoe Saldana and Alicia Keys wore the color, and it will undoubtedly be seeing many more trips down the red carpet, so keep a look-out. It's a great color to wear on anything from your nails to a winter jacket, so make sure to give it a go in your outfits. As a rule of thumb, emerald green and black always work together, but you can also pair it with white and other shades of green.

With prom right around the corner, it's also a perfect color to choose for your dress. Wearing this exuberant color is without a doubt a great way to stand out from the crowd, and show off your keen fashion sense, too! Since the winter has taken a turn for the ridiculously cold this week here on the East Coast, the talk at Rissy Roo's has been all about wearing winter ready outfits. And, what we mean by that is finding fun tights to wear with our dresses! After all, why should a little snow stop us from rocking cute dresses??

We do realize, though, that there tend to be 2 types of women in the world: those who don't like tights, and those who obsess over tights. Since we can't bear to part with our dresses and skirts during the winter time, you can guess that the staff here at Rissy Roo's are quite obsessed with tights! That's why we've picked out our favorite funky pairs that we found on Pinterest. Tights can be found in so many different styles, colors, and patterns that they really are a great way to bring some personality to any outfit. So, we're hoping that we'll convince those non-tight-wearers out there to give it a go and put those dresses back on!

Fun Shapes

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we thought these tights with hearts on them were too cute! Find a sexy black or red dress to wear with them, and you'll be ready to show off your V-Day spirit. If hearts aren't your thing, you can find tights with all sorts of fun shapes on them - everything from classic polka dots to funky geometic shapes, so keep a look-out for something that you feel matches your style and don't be afraid to try it out!

Since lace is such a hot trend right now, we love the idea of rocking the look in tights, rather than the normal shirt or dress. It gives a fun, new way to wear the look and be on-trend, while showing off your unique style and deviating from the norm a little.

Of course, with it being winter right now, you can't go wrong with winter-inspired tights! Look for ones that mimic a cozy winter sweater. A lot of these tights even come in thicker fabrics that are perfect for staying warm in the cold weather. We especially love the ones with little reindeer on them!

Ombre has been a hot trend on everything from hair to dresses, so it's no surprise that the look as even made it to tights! If you love wearing bold, solid color tights, this is another great way to rock them.

We love all clothes with floral prints, and we especially love the idea of floral printed stockings matched with a plain, solid color dress. It's a great way to let one accessory do all the talking!
