The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival was held at the end of May, and there were so many stunning looks all throughout the festival! One of our favorite looks was worn by DJ and model Joy Vieli. She wore one of our favorite designers, Mac Duggal, at several events at the festival, so we were of course very amazed by her outfit choices! Some of the events Joy attended included director Sofia Coppola's exclusive yacht party, as well as an after party at VIP ROOM Famous Club. She was definitely both dressed up in style AND partying in style!

Our favorite look that she wore during the festival was Mac Duggal style 78703R, which is the gown she's wearing in the above picture. It's such an elegant gown, but we loved how she gave it her own edgy touch with hairstyle and bold lipstick (and of course, her fierce model stance!). Mac Duggal 78703R has sensational beaded floral designs that fill the center front of this spectacular floor length evening gown, giving it such a unique look. All eyes were definitely on Joy in this gown with a thigh high slit and sheer one shoulder design!

 It's a great dress for prom or any other formal event. Black goes with anything and everything, after all!

Finding the perfect dress to wear to a winter wedding can be difficult; you want to wear a cute dress, but it's cold out! Whether a formal or semi-formal wedding, here's some ideas that are perfect for showing off your fashion sense during the one month when dresses aren't quite as easy to wear.

Formal Wedding

This type of wedding usually means it's good to wear a long dress, since it's the winter time. Black is the perfect color for winter because the darker color is always appropriate, no matter what the setting.  It can also always be dressed up or down with accessories, depending on just how formal the black-tie affair is.

The first dress is La Femme style 18928, an elegant and classic jersey gown with satin accents and criss-cross satin straps under the bust. The back also has satin straps that criss-cross with a rhinestone brooch in the center. Since it's a simple black gown, you can have a lot of fun changing the look with accessories.

The second dress is a fancier number that's perfect if you know the event you are attending is on the more formal side. It's Alyce Jean De Lys style 29602, a satin and lace gown with a scoop-neck. The cap sleeves and black lace make is so perfect for the colder months!

 Semi-Formal Wedding

If it's a semi-formal wedding, a cocktail dress is the perfect choice. This type of wedding allows you to be much more flexible with your outfit and more easily show off your style. Our two favorite cocktail dresses for a winter wedding are below - the longer sleeves make them so perfect for the winter time. And, since they're just classic cocktail dresses, they can be worn for a number of other occasions, too!

For a funkier look, we love Jovani style 74207. It's a short cocktail dress with 3/4 length sleeves and illusion detail that shows off just enough skin, while still having that classy look for a wedding.

for a cocktail dress on the more formal size, we love Alyce Jean De Lys style 29524. This chic and classy short dress has a lace over satin fabric with a scoop neckline and 3/4 length illusion sleeves. Best yet, it's a classic little black dress that can be word to many different events!

We loved Lucky Magazine's list of their 25 best dressed stars because they included our favorite 4 in their picks. Jennifer Lawrence rocked some very fashionable outfits througout her Hunger Games promo tour - they even earned her a gig as the next face of the Miss Dior handbag! Our favorite dress was the one she wore to the Hollywood premiere - a Prabal Gurung gold cut-out gown. The gown reminded us of the shiny outfits the contestants wore during the Opening Ceremonies of the Hunger Games. If you want to be the star of your prom, check out Faviana style 7182 - a foil jersey mermaid style evening gown with mesh cut-out details.

Taylor Swift had a great year of fashion, from her casual looks, to being on the cover of Glamour, to dressing up in sparkly gowns at award shows. She's relatively consistent with her outfits, but she always looks so perfect, how can anyone complain?? We especially loved the nude gown with red floral embellishments that she wore to the CMA Awards show because of its elegance. If you want a similar look, try Sherri Hill style 21016 - a gorgeous strapless sweetheart high low gown with lace overlay.

This soulful singer is always dressing in glittering gowns and cinched-waist skirts that suit her beautiful voice. We love that Lana Del Rey paired dark red lipstick and her long brown hair with this sparkly silver dress - she looks so glam! Get a similar look with the dress Night Moves style 6755 - an all-over sequin gown with matte and shiny sequins. The strapless bodice is accented with a beaded band at the waistline for a more fitted look.

Jessica Chastain recently came into the spotlight for her role as a CIA analyst in the film Zero Dark Thirty. Even though she has a tough character to play in the film, she's been looking nothing less than gorgeous on the red carpet. Lucky Magazine says that Jessica tends to wear "feminine A-line silhouettes, well-placed sequins, and lovely lace." We definitely see all of that in our favorite champagne colored dress that she wore! The 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which aired this past Tuesday (Nov. 4th)  was as amazing as ever! The performances by Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Justin Bieber were absolutely incredible - you could tell the whole place was full of Bieber Fever!

While we couldn't take our eyes off of Biebs, we were amazed by Rihanna's performance and outfits. We especially loved her Audrey Hepburn inspired black gown with pearl glasses and necklace and lace gloves. That's why we picked Faviana Style 6428 as this week's Dress of the Week. We love the classic black gown, of course with a little sexiness added in with a slit down the side and a sweetheart neckline!

This strapless evening gown has tightly ruched fabric across the bust and bodice. The skirt has a slight flair, and the back reveals a flyaway detail of chiffon for a whimsical touch to this classic evening gown. Keira Knightley's newest film, 'Anna Karenina' had its New York premiere at Florence Gould Hall earlier this month (on Nov. 7th). The British actress wore a stunning navy blue long-sleeve lace evening gown on the red carpet.

We loved her classy look with the lace dress and how she kept it simple by wearing a tight bun and only earrings for jewelry. The red lipstick was the perfect touch against the navy gown.

 As we've mentioned in past posts, lace is a very popular trend right now (Kristen Stewart wore lace at the Los Angeles Breaking Dawn 2 premiere). If you'd love to rock a long sleeve lace evening gown just like Keira for your next formal event, the below dresses are great options!

The film 'Anna Karenina' also stars Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. It is set in late 19th Century Russia high-society and is about Anna, who is an aristocrat that enters into a life-changing affair with Count Vronsky (Jude Law). The story is adapted from Leo Tolstoy's novel of the same name.
