  • Thanksgiving Dress Up Ideas You'll Love!

Thanksgiving is almost here, and that means it's time for family get-togethers and late night parties with friends. So, to make sure you're ready in a perfect outfit, we picked out some of our favorite dresses that will effortlessly take you from a more traditional family event, to a night out with friends. Check out our Thanksgiving dress up ideas below!

    Gracia D15016

You can never go wrong with a little black dress at any event, and this is one LBD that we absolutely love! Style D15016 is a jeweled neck cap sleeved party dress that's such a versatile pick. The cap sleeves make it so easy to wear to a family party, while the dress is just so cute and chick that it can take you anywhere in style! This is a great dress to wear throughout the Holiday season - from a Thanksgiving get-together, to an office holiday party, or even to a New Year's Eve party! For a more stand-out color, this dress also comes in red.
Scala 48350For another cap sleeves look that's all about versatility, go with Scala 48350. This hot little cocktail dress clings closely to curves to produce a look that is second to none. Tiny, twinkling accents wend their way around the dress for a softly glitzy look. It's all topped off by a scooped neckline and short sleeves. We just recommend throwing a cardigan over the dress for your family Thanksgiving dinner, which you can take off when it's time to go out with friends at night! Best yet, this dress is also so perfect for a New Year's Eve party.

    Mac Duggal 1654

For a more traditional look for Thanksgiving, go with Mac Duggal style 1654. It's a stunningly embellished dress with fantastic beading along the v-neckline. From small beads to large stones and hanging beading, this dress offers so much variety, style, and elegance. A gorgeous vine pattern of beaded embellishments flows throughout the dress and on the wide open, sheer sleeves. The charcoal color and leave pattern of this dress reminds us so much of a fall November night!

Do you know what you plan on wearing for Thanksgiving? Leave us a comment and let us know! It's always fun to rock dresses for the Holidays, so have fun dressing up!

  • DIY Black Cat Makeup Tutorial for Halloween!

Remember on Monday how we posted about a chic black cat Halloween look, matching chick nail art, a little black dress, cat ears, cat eye makeup, and cat eye glasses all together? Well, we have more information to help you finish off that black cat look! Seventeen Magazine recently posted a step-by-step video on how to create that perfect black cat makeup look...from the classic cat eyes to a cute black nose and even whiskers! Check out the black cat makeup tutorial here:

    http://youtu.be/9KQxaANch48

Such a cute look! Lupe, known as naturallybellexo on YouTube (who works with Seventeen), decided to create her black cat look with a black romper, rather than a little black dress, like we mentioned earlier this week. Both styles work so well for a black cat look, and both are so easy to take from Halloween to any other night out or event you go to.

If you want to rock a romper like Lupe, we love Shail K style 3464. This hand beaded, sparkling one piece will make you look so sexy, and the silver accenting throughout the romper reminds us of stripes on a cat! We especially love the sparkles on this romper - they're a perfect way to stand out in the crowd on nights like Halloween, a Holiday party, or New Year's Eve. The romper also features a sweetheart neckline, defined waist, and unique open back design. If it's a cold night out (like Halloween or the Holidays usually are), don't be afraid to pair this look with black tights - rompers look great with tights and is perfectly on-trend.

    Shail K 3464

A black cat is a classic (and SO Roo Girl!) choice for Halloween, so you definitely can't go wrong with this look. And, you can always find unique ways to add your own personal style to the look by adding jewelry.... and choosing between a romper vs. a LBD, of course! Are you planning on being a black cat? Do you have any tips, tricks, or ideas on how to finish off the look? Leave a comment below!

  • Little Black Dress Halloween Costumes for a Witchin' Good Look!

Halloween is so close, and we're getting excited to dress up as our favorite characters on the 31st! It's always difficult to choose and put together your costume, but there's one great way to look super chic for Halloween: little black dresses!

Rock an LBD for a Fangtastic Halloween Style! Little black dresses are so versatile, and always chic, so we love the idea of pairing an LBD with your favorite Halloween accessories for a glamorously ghoulish look. Two dresses that we particularly love are shown above: Night Moves style 6658 and Jeweled Pencil Dress style 78415.

    Fangtastic Vampire Style

We love Night Moves 6685 to rock a sexy glam rock vampire look. Sexy and sophisticated, this dress features a sheer illusion sleeve detail accented with crystals. The long sleeves makes it perfect for a cold fall Halloween night, and allows it to easily transition into winter for a Holiday Party dress (we especially love this look for New Year's Eve)! For Halloween, just pair it with vampire teeth, dark red lipstick, dark red or purple eyes, and glamorous red jewelry. We also love the idea of pairing it with a leather jacket to complete that glam rock look.

In the above outfit, we paired the LBD with Helen's Heart style JE-4601-10 red earrings, Rihanna by Night Moves platform high heels, and Magid E7496 beads and rhinestones satin box clutch. All items that you can easily rock again for Homecoming, Prom, or the Holidays!

    Witchin LBD Look

Jeweled Pencil Dress style 78415 is perfect to rock a witch look for Halloween! This jeweled neck dress features body defining style lines, open sides, and an invisible back zipper. For Halloween, pair it with a chic witch hat, a witch's broom, and funky jewelry. for an extra witchy look, pair it with striped stockings - we love either orange and black or purple and black striped stockings for that classic witch look.

To finish off this look, we paired the dress with Magid E7486 jeweled box clutch, Hyacinth Crystal Chandelier Earrings JF103E32G3, and Baylee by Sizzle sexy beaded pumps.

Of course, a little black dress is so easy to dress up in any way, so whether a classic Halloween look like a vampire or a witch that we showed above...or something a little less scary like a 1920s flapper girl or cute black cat...you'll be able to rock a totally haute Halloween look, and then take that dress right into the Holidays and New Year! • This Homecoming Queen is also her School's Football Kicker

South Jones High School senior Mary Kate Smith is one busy girl. This Fall brings on her Homecoming Dance, where she's the reigning homecoming queen, dedication to her Mississippi school's soccer team, oh and one more thing... the new kicker for her school's varsity football squad!

Mary Kate Smith is Homecoming Queen and the kicker on her school's football team

Already a star on her school's soccer team, she's bringing her golden foot to a new team - she's the first girl to make the school's varsity football squad. Her response if someone tells her she plays like a girl? Here's what she told TODAY.com:

"I'm me, and I'm not trying to be anybody else. I'll take that as a compliment."

TODAY.com got the whole scoop on this talented girl who proudly wears two things on her head: a homecoming crown, and a football helmet. TODAY.com explained that her football coach, Corey Reynolds, said one of his assistants, Matt Smith, the strength and conditioning coach for Mary Kate's soccer team, suggested Mary Kate be the kicker that'd sought all summer long. Corey explained, "It just turned out to be a blue-eyed, homecoming-queen soccer player."

    sev-football-star-lgn

Corey said he was amazed at the way Mary Kate could kick a 40-yard field goal in practice, calling her "one of the most highly competitive athletes - male or female - I've ever seen."

Mary Kate said field-goal kicks are in theory easier than kicking a soccer goal because the ball is stationary in football, but "the pressure is 10 times worse [in football], with big guys running at you who outweigh you by 200 pounds."

Sounds pretty scary to us, that's for sure!

Of course, Mary Kate's parents are so proud of her! Her dad said, "Here, in the South, where traditional values are very traditional, we were a little concerned about how well she'd be accepted. We've been pleasantly surprised by the support that the community has shown her. We've got a renewed faith that things are equalized for her, and for girls like her." Check out her friends cheering her on, all wearing "We <3 Mary Kate Smith" shirts!

Mary Kate's got a lot to be looking forward to when she graduates from high school and moves onto college. She's planning on playing Division-I soccer next fall at the University of Souther Mississippi and considering a career as an orthodontist. Good luck as South Jones High School's Homecoming Queen Football Kicker!

  • Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Before The Summer's Gone? Yes Please!

We love summer...but we're also huge fans of the fall months because of Homecoming, and because while it may be a littler cooler out, the fall is still perfect weather for dresses. So, we were happy to hear of some exciting news from Starbucks to help us get into the fall (and Homecoming) mood! Although autumn doesn't technically start until September 23rd, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte may be coming sooner than you think! Nothing says fall like everything pumpkin, afterall!

    Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

The infamous drink (it even has it's very own Twitter handle!) isn't set to return until September 2nd, but a Starbucks representative recently hinted at an early release: "As in previous years, there may be an opportunity for customers to gain early access to this seasonal favorite."

That's not the only clue that Starbucks has revealed, though. The official Twitter account for the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (@TheRealPSL) has been hinting that the drink will be back next week! Check out some of the hints Starbucks tweeted:

We can definitely second that "YAAAAAS" and will be following @TheRealPSL with eager anticipation! After all, what's better to pair with fall dress styles than a warm drink in your hand like apple cider or a Pumpkin Spice Latte?! We can only hope that Starbucks offers a special Summer Pumpkin Spice Latte on ice! Bring on the pumpkin!
