The Sherri Hill 2014 Fall collection is very elegant and glamorous. While combining a mixture of short dresses, two-piece ensembles, and long gowns, each and every piece has the beauty and high fashion details one could only expect from such an elite designer. This collection is full of rich color's like black, red, emerald and royal blue. Many embellishments like intricate beading, geometric cut outs, and lavish lace are implemented throughout the entire collection, making the designs fit for a queen! Homecoming dresses are an entirely different look when comparing them to prom. They are generally a little less formal, although some schools make it a very fancy occasion. Typically, homecoming is a gathering of students uniting as one, celebrating the beginning of a new school year and showing their school spirit in hopes of leading their team to victory. With Christmas and Kwanzaa finally here, Hanukkah and Thanksgiving passed, and New Year's on its way, we wanted to wish all of our Roo Girls a very Happy Holidays from Rissy Roo's! Every year, we choose our favorite cocktail dresses to wear on NYE, but this year we're going one step further and showing you exactly how to put your own perfect New Years Eve outfit together from head to toe.

For backless dresses, it's the perfect opportunity to wear your hair in a low hanging ponytail look, which is a very popular style right now.

Accessories can be just as important as your dress! We live by the philosophy of "less is more" when it comes to accessories. If you're going with a simpler style dress, it can be fun to pick one big or bold accessory as the stand-out piece of your outfit. This season, we recommend going crazy with your purse - using your clutch as your outfit's stand-out piece is always a great choice.

With Christmas less than a week away, you can guess that this week's Dress of the Week post is dedicated to being Christmas party ready! And, there is definitely no better dress to pick than Scala style 47631 for such a holiday event. Why? Because the dress comes in the two most important colors of the holiday: red and green!

That's not the only reason why we love this dress for a Christmas party, though. We're so happy that this week Jacquie Lee made it to the Final 3 on The Voice, but we're still stuck on her performance from last week! Last Monday, Jacquie was one of the Top 6 to perform on The Voice, where she blew the crowd away singing "Cry Baby" by Janis Joplin and "The Voice Within," which was dedicated to her coach, Christina Aguilera.

Her beautiful singing voice wasn't the only reason we were blown away by Jacquie, though. The dresses she wore were just so beautiful! Not only that, but you can wear them, too, because they were by dress designer Sherri Hill! Check out what she wore below - they're perfect looks for an upcoming Holiday party or for Prom.

The two-piece gown that she wore while singing "Cry Baby" is Sherri Hill style 11068, one of designer's newest looks for Prom 2014! It's a brilliantly designed evening gown with a beaded high neck sleeveless top and a long slim skirt with a beaded waist. The top and skirt sit at just the right place around your waist to give a figure-flattering look. And, it's definitely an elegant way to wear the hot crop top look for a formal event, showing just the right amount of skin. Best yet, it's a style that can be worn to a number of different events, whether a formal holiday party or prom.

Jacquie also belted her heart out singing "The Voice Within" in the elegant cocktail dress Sherri Hill style 4304. It's a beautifully beaded cocktail dress that features an intricately beaded bodice, cap sleeves, and a high neckline. Definitely just as elegant of a look as style 11068, just in a shorter style! It's a perfect look for any holiday formal or semi-formal event, or even Homecoming!

To all of our New Jersey Roo friends out there, the December 2013 LifeStyle Report of the New Jersey LifeStyle Magazine is out, and we're so proud to announce that we've been featured in their Holiday Gift Guide! Their The LifeStyle Report Holiday Gift Guide lists their last-minute treasures for everyone on your Holiday gift list, so it's quite an honor that we were included amongst their favorite finds. Two of our brand new products were listed: our Sweetie's Anne Lace Ballet Flats and our Leopard Purse! The flats are fabulous lace ballet style shoes with a knot detail and clear stone detail. They are the perfect shoe to sweeten up any social occasion dress if you don't want to go with heels. The Leopard Purse is an envelope clutch that is a perfect way to glam up any outfit. It's currently not available on our website, but can be purchased at our store in Linwood, NJ.

  That's not all that's in the December LifeStyle Report, though! The magazine also has a whole article on what to wear at Holiday parties: gold, of course! Of their selection, they wrote, "These picks for the holiday season will have you effortlessly standing out from the crowd and looking, and feeling, like a celebrity. This year, make your holiday statement piece a head-turning gold dress, suitable for any occasion.

When it comes to choosing a long dress, they featured one of the dresses that we have at Rissy Roo's: Tony Bowls style Tony B 2351317! It's a sequin dress with a halter neckline and pleated waistline that's accented with a contrasting hand-beaded medallion. It's one of our sale dresses - it was originally $458, but is now only $299. The LifeStyle Report mentions that it's a perfect dress to wear if you have a Holiday gala event or black-tie New Year's Eve party, and we couldn't agree more. The article's author, Alyson Boxman Levine wrote, "full-length and flowing, yet fitted in all the right places, this sparkly halter dress will quickly become your glamorous go-to favorite."

And, if you love the short metallic number that's featured in this article, you can get the same look with Terani style C1329. It's a metallic bandage dress with a v neckline that's a classic look for a Holiday party or any other semi-formal event that you may have. Since it's a bandage dress, it will hug your curves in all the right ways!
